Best pizza in Austin. The atmosphere is great, it is the right place to go if you are close to congress avenue. Margherita and pepperoni pizzas are my favorites.
I had 1 hour for lunch (including travel time) so I drove to Home Slice Pizza from ACC Highland Campus. Ordered at the take-out window (at the front of the building) a slice of pepperoni and a half plain Caesar salad + soda. (First off.. I thought a pepperoni slice at 5 bucks is a little on the expensive side.) They told me the wait would be 10 mins. So 20 mins later, they brought out my order wrapped up in a bag. So I quickly jumped in the car and drove back to ACC Campus. Parked and only had 20 mins to spare. I open the bag to find no utensils, no napkins... just a salad and the slice. If someone brings your order out to you all bagged up and there are no take-out napkins or utensil to obtain anywhere, leads one to think that they are inside the bag, right?I mean, who eats a salad without a fork at the minimum? So I ended up eating the pepperoni slice.. the pizza is okay at best, it's not hot, cheese is not melty.. Costco's pepperoni slice is better. The garlic knot is atleast hot but where is the garlic? The salad... I don't know how it taste, cause I don't have a fork to eat it with. All I know is.. it's super expensive for what it is. The "half" salad is small, like a small salad you would find at a diner. For 10 bucks, I could have had Unlimited soup and salad at Olive Garden or a large Caesar salad with chicken at the local HEB. Overall experience is poor, quality of food is okay, price to portion ratio is super expensive and not worth it by all means.

I ordered a day in advance for pickup at a specific time. I was running late so I called to change the pickup time. They said the pizzas had just gone into the oven. I told them I understood and would still pick them up later. They called me back a few minutes later to say not to worry; they would make fresh pizzas to be picked later! When we got there our pizzas were just coming out of the oven, and they double-cut them for us. The regular slices of their large pizzas are really big. If you're feeding a lot of people with a selection of pizzas (we ordered seven of the "tried and true" pizzas for 20+ people) it's a good idea to have the pizzas cut into more slices so people can sample different ones.Parking: This place is so popular that the parking lot is not large enough so you may have to wait for a spot.
It’s always 5 stars. Best pizza in Austin or Texas for that matter. Being from New York but living in Texas the last 7 years & just had a mediocre ny slice today in queens, home slice for the win. Will beat any decent ny spot although can’t compete against the best in nyc but a damn good slice!!

Absolutely great. The service was quick, the pear gorgonzola was surprisingly good, and the bathroom was generously stocked with cologne, mints, and gum. Would give it six stars if I could.
