Consider updating the reservations section of your website to say you don't allow reservations for 2 people. Wasted my time trying to make a reservation to try a new restaurant. Theres other sushi restaurants in Austin.

Our go to sushi spot in Austin. Always good, reasonably priced, and reliable. They even have booths to mimic seating on a Japanese floor.Vegetarian options: Cucumber roll, agedashi tofu, miso soup, edamame vegetable tempura, and moreParking: When busy can be hard to find parking. May be able to park in lots next door, but not sure of towing policy. Entrance to parking lot is narrow and easy to miss.Kid-friendliness: The booths are more kid friendly for those with toddlers bc they can semi-walk around inside them without bothering other guests. You can also fit infant car seats comfortably inside and tucked out of the way. But you are required to take off your shoes for the booths

The wait time was insanely long. We were all cramped up near the door. Most of the people walking in didn’t know they had to sing up to wait on a paper that was sitting on a small table. People were being skipped left and right when it came time to sit downParking: Parking was very hard to get we parked next door at an empty car wash. The way cars parked is very hard to get in and out

I’ve been there three times. Once I got incredibly sick for two days. Another they accidentally deleted my reservation and refused to seat me. Another we waited over an hour past our reservation time. Never

This has become my go to Japanese restaurant for Sushi, comfort food, and a relaxed and warm atmosphere. It feels like a warm mom and pop type of restaurant, and one of the servers is amazing and she always remembers us. The interior has so many interesting characteristics - it has more (?) traditional japanese tables in the back where you sit and have your feet kind of under the table in a recessed space like you're sitting on the ground, with normal tables in the center. Both are okay. It's not pretentious, the prices are great, and the food is REALLY good. I always get the nabeyaki udon and I swear, it is my favorite udon I have ever had. It is pure comfort food, topping pho for me which is unspeakable. We normally get a couple of rolls too depending on how hungry we are, and the rolls are always really good too. Super fresh and inventive with some of the combinations. One weird thing is that for some reason, none of the rolls are spicy. Even the spicy ones. I have exactly zero tolerance for spiciness (I get mild or 1/5 spicy level at like indian restaurants) and even rolls called the RED DEVIL ROLL or SPICY something ROLL were just barely a tiny bit spicy. I would not even have thought it was a spicy roll without knowing. It's a strange quirk, but the rolls are usually good anyway.Fun fact, I first came here over 10 years ago. It was great then and I'm so glad I've rediscovered it again. <3 Much love, Ichiban.

Ji is the man, the myth, the legend!!!Everytime I walk in to itchiban I am greeted and sat within moments, the service is quick kind and knowledgeable.I sometimes get little treats sent by the chief and I'm never disappointed! In fact it pushes me to try new things, I tried sitting at the bar this time ( you have to go at LEAST 3 times to sit at the tables, booths or bar)I swar by the end of it I needed to be rolled out of the place. This is by far my favorite place, I'm so happy I live just around the corner!

I really like the atmosphere, the service and employees are nice, but was really annoyed at a lot of things. We ordered the sushi and nigiri combo, which is a chef's choice. However, I expected some different cuts of fish. Instead it's just the cheapest cuts of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. If you're going to offer a nigiri and sashimi combo that costs $100+, please don't use the cheapest cuts of the cheapest fish.
