From the moment we stepped into Intero, we were swept into a culinary journey that was as delightful as it was memorable. The ambiance of the restaurant set the stage for what was to be an exquisite dining experience. The bucatini with broccoli, sottocenere al tartufo, burnt garlic, and chive was a revelation. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce—a harmonious blend of flavors—was nothing short of amazing. It was a dish that showcased the kitchen’s skill in elevating simple ingredients to new heights. My wife’s choice, the charred cabbage with hot mustard, parmesan, and crispy onion, was equally impressive. The cabbage, often underrated, was transformed into a star dish with its smoky char and the zesty punch of the hot mustard. It was, without exaggeration, the best tasting cabbage we’ve ever had.But what truly made our evening special was the service, particularly from one of the employees who we originally thought was a hostess but turned out to be the Co-owner, Krystal. Her warm welcome and genuine friendliness made us feel like honored guests. Her attention to detail and care in ensuring our dining pleasure was exceptional. We left Intero with full bellies and warm hearts, already planning our next visit. It’s not just the food that will bring us back, but the people who make Intero more than just a restaurant—it’s a dining experience to cherish. We highly recommend Intero to anyone looking for a remarkable Italian meal in Austin. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, Intero is sure to impress.

Loved dinner at Intero! We enjoyed a few apps and pizzas with wine and it was all beautiful and delicious. 2 of our party also really enjoyed their mocktail options. It was a bit chilly inside so we moved to their covered patio that had fans. Would absolutely go back and take advantage of their happy hour!Parking: There’s a lot but you’ll likely need to arrive early to snag a spot.

If you visit Austin this is a must. Food was sensational. Italian with very fresh seasonal ingredients. We were really craving fresh ingredients and food as we were finding Austin quite processed/fast food vibes. This was perfect. Excellent service. We had the best cabbage dish ever. Recommend booking in advance.

Every dish we ordered (foccacia, beets, duck risotto, redfish agnolotti, brown butter cake, and espresso gelato) was delightful - clearly fresh, thoughtfully paired to be complimentary, and so well balanced. The service was knowledge & attentive without being intrusive on our date night. So good that if we were local, this would become a regular semi-special occasion stop for us.Dietary restrictions: Very considerate of allergies & restrictions - the waiter politely inquired and double-checked with the kitchen before taking our order in a practiced manner that made it clear they must do that regularly and take your responses seriously.

We were seated at a four top in the bar right as you walk in - zero atmosphere. Because it was our first time, I was unaware of the other inside areas and didn't see until I went to the ladies room. Our server was great - but after a truly fantastic experience at Poeta, this, for us, fell short. The food was good - but with all of the great places to eat Italian in Austin, not sure I'd go back here.

Not at all what I was anticipating based on previous reviews of this spot. The experience started off poorly when we were brought to a dirty table without any table settings. The table itself was on slanted ground outside which was kind of awkward for seating. It also took awhile for a server to greet us once we sat down. The food was subpar at best. We ordered brussels (which came out lukewarm), pizza, and pasta. I’ve had tastier pizza at almost every spot in Austin than Intero. I will say that the ricotta gnocchi was fluffy and delicious, however, the rabbit was chewy and the sauce tasted like it was out of a Hamburger Helper kit. They also super dimmed the lights halfway through our meal which made it hard to see the food.I do appreciate that they’re mindful of where they source their food. Maybe we just caught them on an off night and ordered the wrong dishes. I do wish I could’ve provided a better review, as I had high hopes for this spot, but alas I was disappointed in both the experience and food. :-/

We celebrated my birthday here and it was a pleasant surprise. Intero is our new favorite Italian restaurant. It's hard to impress 2 chefs. The small plates, even the amuse bouche were imaginative in their combination of flavors and preparations: Carrot Tartare, Charred Cabbage and mustard, Little gem lettuces and the exotic dressing awakened our taste buds. The fresh pasta dishes were solid in their preparation, creative in their flavor profiles, and deliciously textured, I'm a sucker for a runny yolk on a Raclette Raviolo with braised beef cheek, I mean... genius! The pizza was spot on delicately chewy crust, great flavor profiles on the toppings. The desserts and truffles were equally impressive, so delicately and beautifully prepared also with creative flavor pairings. Thank you for a memorable birthday meal!
