The chicken was just as dry as the employees attitude-very rude customer service Went in during lunch rush hour and was the only customer in there. Dolma didn't taste cooked and tahini was a big disappointment

Slight update! This restaurant has more than earned a full 5-stars with no hesitation. The couple that runs the front of the restaurant is super friendly and the food is consistently, perfectly delicious. I highly recommend the muhammara and the coriander potatoes. Both are nice and spicy and accompany the shawarma perfectly. They are still rocking and rolling and I can't recommend them highly enough.

So I've been in the area a lot. Like a lot. But I've never even thought of walking into this place because of all the other options that are around. However, today was a different day, cause a friend suggested we meet up here and finally got to try and was decently impressed. They got a lot of options, especially with the plethera of sides, but it looks like mediterranean home cooking at it's best. You got your shawarma but you also got things like braised lamb shanks and baked chicken on top of all the hummus and other accoutrement that you could possibly want. It's a lot of food, especially if you get the platters since they come with pita. I just got myself a beef shawarma since I was looking for something lighter for lunch and it's good. Well seasoned meat, grilled flatbread and some vegetables with a squirt of sauce is really all that you need. Makes you feel healthy too. That said, it's a bit on the pricier side for a week day lunch, but its definitely worth it.

$11 for a falafel pita and a water. The pits was hard as a rock. Not very good. It was supposed to have hummus inside it, couldnt even taste it definitely not worth the money.

Um who else has been to this complex a hundred times and never realized this is not JUST a bakery but a restaurant? Actually it doesn't even really have a bakery now is pretty much just a restaurant. I have only tried the lamb shank here. Not sure if I will ever try anything else because it's so good. The cucumber salad is pretty much tasteless though. I heard the potatoes are delish but they already ran out. Also the dude that prepped my food is hilarious and chastised me (jokingly) for not being a fan of beets. And free pita. That is all.

CANNOT MISS with Peace Bakery. The food is amazing and portions are huge. The staff is The difference maker at this place. They are always so nice, and helpful with all the choices! I have never had a bad experience.

Wonderful people who serve great food. Everything here is good. The vegetable platter is enough food for three people, if you want to go cheap. Great vegetarian selection.

Its homemade, it's authentic, it's REAL food. I am such a fan. This is the kind of food I like and look for! Super authentic, homemade style Arab food that is healthy, quality, and generous portion sizes. I got a plate with two sides and got Baba ghanoush and beets but I really wanted to try everything. Same with the meats- they have rotating specials and I tried the fish but I want to go back and try every one of them. Came with a free lentil soup and bread, enough to fill me up which isn't easy! Can't wait to try it again :D

Omg omg omg!!! I am so excited I found this middle eastern gem of a restaurant that I am writing my review right after eating my takeout meal from there! So, I grew up in the middle east and I think I have the right to say that the Peace Bakery and Deli is as authentic as it gets. Hands down... the BEST chicken shawarma I have had in the US!!! And I've tried shawarma in TX, CA and NJ(where they have an Arab Street). 10/10 for their fresh, delicious and flavorful Fatoush Salad. We tried a variety of their baklava and Holy Moly... so darn good. Everything is just so fresh and tasty! The beef shawarma plate with sides of potato and spicy hummus were da bomb. Meat was well marinated and so tender! The potatoes... sign me up for more! We loved their felafels too... crisp on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside... mmmm mmmm mmmm! If you are still reading, you know, this girl is a Peace Bakery fan now!!! Will be going back regularly to get my middle eastern fix y'all!!!

This is a long-time family favorite. We eat here regularly and have since our oldest was a toddler. The food is delicious, and the family that owns it is wonderful. The experience is always delightful.

Some of the best food in Austin run by some of the nicest folks in Austin. Service here is always 100%. The food is healthy but doesn't taste like health-food, its rich and comforting. I always get the beef shawarma or lamb shank but don't overlook the veggie sides and pastries. I was able to bring my vegan friend here because of the amazing veggie dishes.

This place used to be really good. Not so much now. Food was ok at best. Restaurent was dirty and most of the lights were turned off so it was kind of dark inside. My son got the lamb chop, which was full of fat and hardly any meat. No more fresh breads either. hope they can recover as they were very nice people. But sorry, we will not be visiting there any more.

Really good and fresh food, literally everything is fresh! I had the plate with 6 half sides so I could try all and reordered more of what I liked. Clean place and really tasty food. My 8 year old nephew who is a picky eater also enjoyed hummus with a side of salad and pita bread.
