I reached out to Sugar Mama's for an eclipse themed birthday cake for my husband. WOW! It was gorgeous and delicious. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a cake, cupcake, etc. The communication was prompt and the process of ordering was simple.

Hopped off the plane and the first place my friend took me to was this bakery. Just like a lot of place in Austin, it's cute and quaint looking from the outside. Once inside, I was amazed at how much they had in both decor and baked goods. It is indeed tiny but so well decorated, it didn't feel crammed. I got some peanut butter cookies and my friend got a couple cupcakes. I didn't taste them until much later and then was disappointed I didn't just buy all the cookies they had remaining. I see why my friend likes this place but since I'm not a cake/cupcake person, I would have loved to see more cookies. Otherwise, it was delicious!

Very kind staff, super cute store, pretty cake. Just wasn't tasty. Not gluten free. Their vegan cupcakes are WAY better than that cake. It was just dry and blah. Literally no one finished their slice, and no one wanted the leftovers, which is not normal. I'd give it less stars because it was very expensive for not-eaten cake, but the customer service and overall cuteness is 6 stars.

3 days before the day of the event they cancelled an order that was placed (2 weeks in advance) . They expected a 4 business hours turn around time from the time of invoice for payment. While the shop did make attempts in notifying me in calls and email on the urgency to get payment . Their lack of compassion and grace speaks volumes about who they are as a company and as human beings . I had called backed as soon as the invoice was cancelled (within 5min) and the response was "sorry we are already over committed and we cannot help you anymore " - shame on you SugarMama - the lack of understanding, empathy and adaptability you have is disappointing . Will be taking my business back to Hayley Cakes .

We have bought several birthday cakes from Sugar Mamas and then also just popped and and bought cupcakes and they are always delicious!!!! They also make homemade dog biscuits and I have a picky miniature poodle and he loves them every time I get them!! We love Sugar Mamas and will continue buying yummy sweets from them!!!

I can't say how much I love this place, and their cupcakes! The staff was super easy to work with, and really helped us pick the right amount of cakes for our wedding event. We decided to go with 2 smaller cakes, and a variety of cupcakes. They were even nice enough to customize some of their seasonal flavors to meet our needs. I honestly, wouldn't have changed anything Sugar Mama's Bakeshop did for us, just the most pleasant experience. And lots of compliments about the cake (even from the non-dessert peeps!). I would recommend them for any of your future events!

Wow these are legit the best cupcakes I've ever had!! I'm a sweets connoisseur, and I'm a baker, and I was blown away. The icing was perfect, not too sweet and the cake was super fluffy and pillowy soft! Everything was so perfect and tasty! Austin is lucky to have a bakery like this!!

Very rude lady, very condescending when asking about what was on the top of the cupcake, she questioned condescendingly "the frosting?! While the other lady kindly explained the flavors and the complexity of the cupcake topping. I really hope the cupcakes are sweeter

Some of my favorite cupcakes! I think one of the most memorable for me was the Frida (spicy hot cocoa)! The James Brown & Marylin are great classics too. But everything is delicious.

I love when my bf gets me this cake! For valentines and special little holidays. It was gorgeous when it arrived!! Such a treat. However, I will say, there is far too much white filler icing which leaves hardly enough cake to eat. I attached a photo. I'd love if the inside only had thin layers of the white icing... it's just so heavy and too much icing like this. Otherwise, yummy cakes! My fave is the strawberry :)
