Ordered Gobi Manchurian on 11/5. It is the worst ever I had eaten. The cauliflower was completely uncooked. Even the covering on the top was not cooked as well. Don’t know how one would cook (or no cooking) it this way.

Food was very average. Most of the items like Manchurian & desserts were not available when we visited. Ordered mysore masala dosa which was very sour and felt like it was made with old batter.

Ate at the restaurant while visiting Austin. Tried South Indian dishes and their thali. South Indian dishes were below average, North Indian thali was good. They are trying to offer a lot on their menu, but it looks like only their North Indian offering is worth visiting.

The shaks are really good and always worth getting here (4 pooris, or 2 parathas or 2 naans along with 2 curries and a dal). Visited twice, and the taste was consistently good both times.

Chola bhatura had zero chola, just plain curry, no salt, no taste. More than half buatura was uncooked raw all-purpose flour dough. We asked for ketchup, we were given watery runny tasteless red syrup in a disposable cup. Extremely unhygienic, under cooked tasteless food. Lost us as customers forever.

Ordered Ragda patties & Aloo tikki chat, it had a foul smell like something is spoiled. We have visited here before but this time the food was not fresh.

Usually I don't give food reviews but I am very much disappointed with this restaurant. The owner's behavior was really rude and they have a Spanish receptionist where it is hard to communicate with her and place the order. It was way expensive for the quality of the service they provide. Please avoid this restaurant if you want to try some good food in Austin

I went to this place for the first time on Aug 11 2023. In general I was satisfied with the overall experience. I ordered the thali and some appetizers, plus a mango lassi. The thali was clean and the dishes were very good, I think the roti was very dry, Mango lassi was very good and clearly made from scratch on site. Will come back to order more dishes and finalize my review but for now I think it deserves those 4 starsPros: Good thali and lassi, good service, dishes are well seasoned and the decoration was in line with my expectations, pricing was appropriateCons: Location is not nice, very old shopping center, roti was dry

I would give zero 0 if possible . Here is my recent experience with this place. I would definitely not recommend to anyone.Ordered samosa chat as appetizer and few other items ,nothing is flavourful both taste wise and look wise.Ordered naan for main course which is undercooked tasting like all purpose flour paste. Also there is no paneer in Malai kofta curry. All items are made with same mashed potato paste which is tasteless. You name a dish it will definetly be made with aloo only. Regarding ambience while eating we can see flies on food.

Food is freshly prepared and servings are generous. We had the mixed vegetable pakoras and they were delicious! The Mysore Masala Dosas had a delicious filling; we loved the caramelized onions in it. Service is fast and attentive. If decor was a bit more put together, and without the digital ads and large signs, the atmosphere would be more inviting. But don't let that stop you from eating here; you would be missing out if you did!Vegetarian options: Completely vegetarian restaurant.

Do not go here for South Indian food (especially Idli, Dosa, etc.). The sambhar was horrible. And it is very obvious they have chutneys prepared days ago and haven't taken good care preserving them. To top it off, chai was one of the biggest disappointments..which is not often the case with Indian restaurants... Overall I think they really need to reconsider their menu in terms of what they're capable of serving fresh and what they're not.

Underrated.Swad had been around for a long while jn Austin area. It has recently come back up with quality food and daily specials including live Pani Puri on certain days.Only one of the few places in Austin serving traditional Gujarati food like Dal Dhokli. Also try their Palak Paneer and Garlic Naan.Great Ambience too. Much more spaced out than many other Indian restaurants.

We got 3 dishes. The dahi puri did not use the tamarind of mint chutneys. I feel those are essential to get this dish right. The parathas shak and dosa were made with stale oil. The masala in the dosa was not refresh and seemed to have been reheated one too many times.Honestly, nothing tasted good. They seem to be cutting corners everywhere. The food made me uncomfortable overnight.

Overall they are a solid 3.5.Service was fast and polite. Place seemed clean. We stopped here for a quick bite-turned-supper.Very pleasantly surprised to find sugarcane juice! They possibly over spiced their chaat, because although it tasted great it did give me some heartburn.Dahi papdi chat was tasty, plenty of onions and farsan to keep it fresh and crunchy.Dabeli was tasty but oily (dabeli are meant to on the spicer side and this one certainly was).Pani puri was fine, some of the puris felt stale (like maybe they were fried too long in advance or were from older dough). They do live counter chaat on Fridays, we may come back to try that at some point.Vegetarian options: They only serve vegetarian foodDietary restrictions: They have several vegan options
