We did Wine flights #8 and #10 reds and the were good but not great. If you order a drink and ask for it on the rocks they charge $2 for an ice cube. That is annoying and they loose 1/2 star on that. How about a flight of bruschetta? That was the best part of our entire food and drink experience here. The Halibut was a bit on the dry side or maybe over cooked but the sauce made up for it. The place has a very open and comfortable vibe. All the staff are fantastic. Rating is 4.4

The food was good. Sat on the paito and the noise from the street was very loud. Bought a bottle of wine and would have expected the waitress to come around and pour the wine for us at a Wine Bar, but that did not happen, and it was not busy at all.

The food was excellent. Unfortunately for us, the waiter forgot to put in our drinks and food orders so we had to wait a long time. And we did not get water refills either. Again, food great, service bad.

I always enjoy going to the Grove, Downtown. The wine, food, and service are all excellent. I live nearby and it is convenient and a friendly place with an especially nice outdoor patio. those looking for a less glitzy, but very satisfying place to eat and drink should try it.

we were initially seated in the dining room. IMO The Grove has jammed in a few too many tables. at our 4 top, it felt like we were joining a larger party seated in the banquette literally inches away. noise level was not conducive to conversation. so here is what we did: we relocated to a window table in the bar for drinks and dinner. very comfortable, pleasantly low murmur of conversation. and here's the kicker: bartender Scotty is a real charmer and perfectly attentive server. our martinis were just to our liking. his wine recommendations guided us to the glass we each wanted. we shared a salad and noodle dish and we were quite pleased with both.

Always a great patio option to have in mind for quick local lunch or dinner get together or to extend a day or evening downtown for a small bite on a shaded patio. Nice staff. Efficient operations. Creative menu.

this is my favorite go-to restaurant in Austin. It has everything. And everything is delicous. Great wines. Fair prices. I hate the "sharing menus" at other restaurants, think they are a ripoff and confusing. This is your traditional restaurant but has so many opitons, you can mix and match and share as You wish!! There are several locations, all are great.

I've enjoyed The Grove since its inception. The owners used to have an Italian concept called Mezza Luna. Sadly, it was destroyed in a fire. Instead of recreating that concept, they created The Grove. In the early years, you could see many of the recipes that were carried over. But keep in mind in no way is The Grove an Italian restaurant. Rather, I would define it as Americana.Today's dish was Ginger Noodle. Clearly, it's not an Italian dish, lol. Quite good, a bit spicy, but a pleasant change from what I normally get, which is the Bolognese, also excellent.

What a place! The crab cake appetizer was outstanding! The shrimp and calamari appetizers were very good as well. We absolutely loved the ahi tuna poke! They had a great selection of wines to choose from. Our server was attentive, patient, and very knowledgeable about the menu and making recommendations. Prices were average. Overall, it was a great pick!

We had a 12-year old with us on our trip to The Grove after being turned away at a few different places. It was early in the evening (8:00 pm), but NO bars with food will except you just for food. OMGOAT the bartender (also our server) was just amazing at The Grove. They were also the one making our drinks, and later informed us they designed the menu.Kid-friendliness: If you are looking for a place and you have your kiddos in-tow, this is the place!

Great restaurant! We sat outside and it was very nice. The charcuterie board is a must. It can feed up to 6 ppl. I got the creole pasta and it was very good. My daughter got the salmon on risotto, but really didn’t like it because the risotto was black instead of white we didn’t ask how they made it, but she really didn’t like that but the salmon on it was very good. Loved the wine flights!! we tried the crème brûlée, and it was very good. Service was good. Restaurant was pretty clean. Parking is bad.

We were seated on the patio because the weather was perfect. Our server, Claire, appeared right away offering water and/or drinks. My favorite part of the menu is the bruschetta combinations. You can choose 3 of the 7 options(all interesting). We chose 1- a close to traditional pesto, tomato, cheese, 2-a blackberry compote on cheese with basil, 3- a pear walnut combo. They came out pretty quickly and were delicious. I had the hamburger, which was slightly smaller than I expected but good with the house made chips. My partner had the steak salad which she enjoyed without the blue cheese. We felt like we had dessert first with the 2 sweet bruschetta so we didn't order a dessert. The service was great, timely and accurate.
