The Liberty is one of our favorite bars to visit on the East Side. Whenever we are barhopping on the east side, we always stop by the liberty. They have a great outdoor space with plenty of picnic tables and there's always good music playing. If you're looking for a place with good vibes and fairly affordable drinks, this is your spot.

In response to the last review, don't move into a bar district and complain if the music goes on for an extra 20 minutes. That is so lame. Move to South Austin or somewhere else if music bothers you. The bar was here before you and it'll likely still be here when you're gone. Hopefully soon.

Turn the music off at 2:00 am like you're supposed to. No one in the neighborhood wants to hear death metal at 2:20. Also, the bar is pretty mid.

I loved that they accepted everyone. I've never felt racism till the Grackle. This place made you feel welcomed. Awesome environment!

Favorite bar In Austin. Doesn't hurt that they have Golden Grill serving up some delicious wings & fries in the back.

Pretty typical dive bar but with a very spacious outdoor area that was pretty nice. The seating inside wasn't bad either. Considering how hard street parking is, I was happy that there was a garage across the street. Would go here again.

Best food in Austin!!!!Locals watched our beloved Paul win Top Chef, and supported him even when angry feminists tried to cancel him...but his food was just too good! (They still came back to eat it lol.) Go behind the Liberty Bar. Park between the alley on 7th. Always a spot there if you look. Try everything on his menu. You can't go wrong. ❤️Vegetarian options: Yes, they have food for the weak blooded.

Cheap drinks and great atmosphere. The staff are very nice and attentive.

The service is terrible. Do not use your debit/credit card here. They overcharge for terrible drinks, no matter what drink you order they just give u vodka soda or whisky coke. There's always extra added to the tip or the drinks.. 6.50 for Lonestar beer for ex. They keep your card and you have to ask for it back at the end if not they will keep it and you have to pick it up the next day even though it was their mistake in the first place. Terrible hood rats working here. Trashy.

Grungy dive bar vibe. There's a pool table, people are friendly and drinks can be cheap depending on what you order. A nice place for a night cap.

I feel most comfortable here. The staff are nice to me and I love East Side Kings.

PROS: this place has a pool table, arcade games, a nice bar and outside area with a good truck parked outside. The people here are nice and the prices are goodCONS: they do not have a menu and only rely on the food truck. The food truck only has 6-8 items as well and they're all overpricedOVERALL: I would come here if you're thinking of playing games or having a drink, but not for food
