I had some of the best tea and sandwiches in Austin here! The club sandwich with tofu and tempeh might be my new favorite meal of all time. I also recommend the iced jasmine green tea. Honestly cannot say enough good things about the food or friendly servers!!

I have frequented The Steeping Room with friends and family for the last 13 years with a pleasant experience every single time! They offer delicious options for those looking for healthy, indulgent, or both! Year around and seasonal teas always hit the spot, as well as refreshing iced drinks and coffees. (The “Perfect Night” tea always provides a soothing pre-bed vibe for me!) You can eat light and feel full, whatever you’re up for! The staff is friendly, exceptional, and familiar. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, even when busy. We are so grateful TSR team persevered through the pandemic, and know they will always be a special part of our community in Austin!

i love the steeping room. without a doubt my favorite restaurant in austin. Love their drinks and food. Especially their soups and matcha lattes. Also their carrot cake cupcake is delicious. I’m never disappointed with the steeping room ❤️❤️❤️

Hot damn. Great, great spot on the north central side. It smells divine with all the tea ? fumes. Great menu. Full of options. Breakfast before 11, so I suggest coming in before that.Excellent selection of tea. The service was outstanding. Can't wait to bring friends.

Lots of good snack options for vegans and vegetarians. I took my friend here who lovesssss tea and she loved it! I wish there was more seating inside/more of a vibe. Very nice employees though!

Lots of tea & food options. Took the scone set that came with a drink, 2 scones & 2 dips ($16 includes tip/tax). Quality of tea & food is excellent. Wish they had more comfortable chairs

Really awful experience. Out of almost every item and what they had was mediocre. Tasted day old and stale. Tea selection seemed vast but that's about it.

I've always loved the Steeping Room. This was my first time back after Covid. They have changed to counter service which, as a single guest, I prefer. Great food, coffee, and tea.

the food was ok. definitely not worth the price I paid for tho. also the balsamic dressing was absolutely disgusting. I've never had a dressing that had, Especially something that's just so easy to make. 3 star for the gender neutral bathrooms and food presentation tho.

Enjoyed my experience here. You order at the counter. About a 10-15 min wait on a Saturday morning. I got the century oaks tea service and a Buddha bowl for food, and then a few extra teas. I'd come back for the tea service, not any other food though. Century oaks tea service - delicious bites. Scone was so so good. Buddha bowl - horrible. They boiled rice potato kale and beans in a pot and then served it, no salt or seasoning. Turkish delight tea - 10/10 Butterfly pea tea - very nice soothing lemongrass Kashmiri chai - a bit too heavy on the clove Hibiscus - strong and tart

I work near the Steeping Room and have had several of their bowls and sandwiches. Each one is always fresh, healthy and delicious. I recently had to transition to a gluten free diet and was craving something sweet. While browsing the baked goods case, I noticed several gluten free options. Nice! I chose the carrot cake cupcake and a Masala Chai latte. OMG, heaven. Both are so delicious. I've tried one other GF desert option from a grocery store before and it was not good. This cupcake is the best carrot cake I've ever had.I was also greeted by and asked if I've been helped by 4 different smiling staff members while I was there just a short amount of time. Nice people, delicious food, great atmosphere. Go! You won't regret it.

Can't believe I haven't already written a review for The Steeping Room, I've been there so many times! Talk about the most moist, satisfying, crumbly scones I have ever had - my personal favorite is the spiced apricot. I would literally have one every single day if I could... Since I'm a tea drinker, it's so nice to have so many tea options available to try. Our personal favorite is the Turkish Delight - it is the perfect combo of light and floral but fruity too. Hard to explain, you just need to try it... We are 100% in love with that one. The inside area is nice too with some two seater booths in the back that are private and cozy, especially nice for a Saturday morning breakfast. My only complaint is that they're not open on Sunday which is often the only day I have off and my favorite day to go out to have tea! I really think they would make really good profits if they started opening on Sundays! Highly recommend the following items on the menu: - Turkish Delight tea - Spiced apricot scone - Century Tea Oaks service - at least try it once! It's a good assortment of their little desserts and tea sandwich! - Lemon edamame tea sandwich - light and fresh! - Scone set - try 2 of the scones (I usually do a sweet and 1 savory which is the cheddar rosemary) I haven't had any of the bowls or full sandwiches because I usually go for the scones, but maybe one day!

As long as I have lived less than a mile away from this place I had yet to try it. From the front I always assumed this places was small and with the name including “Tea Market” I was just not too excited about trying to. Today I was pleasantly surprised. This place has sandwiches, bowls, breakfast and pastries. They also seem to be very healthy oriented with things such as “pasture raised” and alternative milks. They also had many vegan options for my girlfriend. The staff here was very helpful and informative. I ended up going with the Buddha Bowl with Salmon. It was very filling and I was satisfied there. The food without the sauces would have been much too bland, but with their sauces it turned out pretty good. The vibe in here was very enjoyable and we will definitely be returning here in the future!
