Always fresh and tasty - and I *think* maybe healthier than most sandwich places, though I can't say that with authority. At this location, they are always friendly and blindingly fast at whipping up your sandwich. Good stuff. If you need a sandwich, you can hardly do better.

We lived in Austin for a few years and thundercloud was our favorite sandwich shop. There pickles spicy peppers are the perfect combination with the cream cheese they use on their sandwiches. Bread is always soft. Veggies and all don't look it's been sitting there for hours.

Best tuna sandwich in Austin! Only gave 4 stars on service because they got the bread wrong on our sandwiches. It was a phone order, so we couldn't correct it. This is only the 2nd time I've had a mishap from them. I still highly recommend getting your sandwich here.

These poor poor employees. I think the sandwich artist felt so bad she made my pastrami sandwich extra delicious. If you go right after school let's out, there's about 30 children running around screaming holding other establishments food. Please thank these employees and be patient, they're co-running a daycare from 3-5:30pm.

Thanks for the OK sandwich. Would’ve tasted better if the person making my sandwich cared about who he makes it for. I started my order with “I would like a large Tuna on wheat.” He then just proceeds to mumble down to my sandwich and while I sand the there for 2 minutes he looks up and puts the sandwich down; “anything else?” I hear the 3 other employees at different times ask their customer what they wanted on their sandwich! So if you go to this location AVOID THE SHORT BLAD GUY!!!

I’ve been in Austin since ‘97 and love this place. The food is spot on and the nada chicken was delicious. On the other hand, front of the house was not clean and every table was dirty and we had to clean our table to be able to sit and eat. Hopefully, they take more care of the front of the house.

I was at a training down the street so popped into grab a quick lunch. I haven't been to any Thundercloud in quite some time. My sandwich specialist was pleasant. I got my go to sandwich a "veggie delite with hummus". It tasted the exact same as it always does. The bread is fresh and the ingredients were as well. I guess why I'm giving this only four stars is the price. I ordered a small sandwich; just the sandwich -no chips or drink and it came out to be like 7 bucks. I know things have changed since Covid and food overall is more expensive now but that seems high to me. I'm glad I didn't get a chips or drink! Maybe it's just me and my teacher salary that can't afford to eat out as much anymore. :(

The aroma in there took me back to a sub shop that I worked and went to in the '80s. I loved it. The subs are fresh made right in front of you to your order. All made with fresh ingredients. Couldn't get any better

The staff makes sandwiches at an affordable price point. Compared to it's closest competition: Better than Subway, not as good as Potbelly. They do what they say they do, and do it well. If you aren't happy with your service, there's a Randall's across the street, you can buy the ingredients for triple the price and make something to your satisfaction. Stop being picky about sub's, idk what to tell you. Five Stars.

Service was terrible. Went in a great mood, left in a terrible mood. The guy with tinted glasses, and no hair was rude when making our sandwich, and didn’t even offer a bag to go. Made no small talk, and got snippy because we added extra toppings. Our second sandwich he didn’t even bother offering to get extra toppings from the back or another station, just flat out told us he ran out and he wasn’t adding that topping. Horrible customer service skills.

We were there on Monday shortly after 10:00 am. We were nearly the only customers, with an order for four subs. The woman who waited on us was unfriendly and she made two out of the four subs wrong. Our order was crammed into a brown paper bag that ripped. I had to ask for a larger bag. And the shop was filthy with grime and hair on the floor. It’s worth the drive going to the ThunderCloud on William Cannon. They are friendly and cool and the place is clean.Kid-friendliness: My grandson who attends the nearby middle school was disappointed when his order was incorrect.
