This place was warm and welcoming, very cute and dim for a relaxing atmosphere. The service was excellent. Our table was birthday decorated and they offered a birthday desert. Our server, Matt, was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. The food, I have mixed feelings about. The fish was very fresh and well cooked. We got the Chilean sea bass and almond crusted trout. The crab cake was absolutely delicious. So they have the fresh seafood bit down. Everything else was underwhelming. The mushroom risotto was kind of just salty mush, the mashed potatoes were stiff and the fried rice was good. It wasn’t terribly expensive for what it was, so I was not disappointed at all. Overall it was a good experience.

Amazing birthday dinner on 3/7. They went above and beyond from the birthday greeting at host stand to card, to celebratory baked Alaskan. We ordered miso sea bass, Norwegian salmon, sautéed spinach, and the mushroom. The Bonfire Glow cocktail was superb! Our server, Tarkan, was a sweetheart and very knowledgeable!All around, beautiful, and memorable evening. Thank you!

We sat in the bar area upstairs, and Curt took amazing care of us. He was so knowledgeable about not only the food but also introduced me to an outstanding new wine that complimented my salmon selection. I'd dine there all the time if only I lived in Austin.

Truly fantastic experience @ Austin Trulucks on special occasions! And the new location is much nicer with modern design and chic ambiance. Absolutely amazing place with fresh seafood and top service. Definitely 5* restaurant.
The service was incredible. When they found out I was my birthday they went out of their way to really make me feel special. They were also terrific in addressing my friends dietary restrictions. Kudos to the manager and the team. I will absolutely be back
Took my husband here for his birthday dinner. Our host for the night was Tarkan. He was absolutely wonderful and made some spot on suggestions. The caviar was ✨DIVINE✨. We never had baked Alaska before and it was heavenly.The presentation, the food, the atmosphere were all great. The restaurant manager Robert made sure we were well taken care of. From entrance to exit, we had top notch service and treatment.Definitely enjoyed our dinner date and look forward to visiting again in the future.
A fabulous fine-dining experience in Downtown Austin. We appreciated the five-star service, attentiveness and ambiance of Trulucks in their new location. Also loved that some of the dishes came in petit size!

Having a 5:30PM reservation and then with an empty restaurant we get a table upstairs with zero ambiance was less that acceptable. The new Trulucks is once again my 'go to' for entertaining visiting family but if being stuck upstairs in what appears to be the overflow area I am going back to Eddie V's. Also I always get the 1 lb. of the King Crab so after about 50 times I have some idea of the size of a 1 lb. serving. I have to question if 1 piece of leg I got last night was 1 lb. it looked closer to a 1/2 lb. serving since I have had those also. Being with guests is not conducive to making a fuss over the portion size. I am coming back with more guests on Sat. 3/9 and have requested main floor seating.

The steak was overcooked. I thought it was odd that one of the managers came by our table and gave his card to the woman I was with. Didn't stop at any other table. I made the reservation and paid for dinner, and he gives her his card? I dine frequently and we both thought it was odd. Other than that the waitress was excelelnt.
