Great food. However, it is impossible for them to not screw up an order. At this point, it's three takeout orders in a row they've gotten wrong.

The food is great but the service leaves something to be desired. They are always sold out of food when we come. They are also extremely slow at getting food out. The place was dead at 6pm on a Saturday and we still had to wait 30 minutes for 4 tacos. On another occasion for a to go order we ordered 2 lbs of brisket and when we arrived home we opened the bag only to find 2lbs of chicken. We’ve given them many second chances hoping they were just working some kinks out, but the service has been poor more times than it has been good. We won’t be back anytime soon.

If you're coming from Austin DO NOT BOTHER.Between the half hour wait to order. 45 minutes waiting for food. Not getting a complete order and the food is mediocre and greasy. Sorely disappointed we came down solely for this.I cannot justify anything here worth the time and money. This is not BBQ style ordering.

You really get the sense that something is being massively mismanaged here. I won't describe everything that was bad about our evening at Valentina's, just one major issue: I asked if there was outside seating, at first bartender said no, then someone else in my party was told yes from a different person. We were told to go around back. We ordered our food, and told the cashier that we would be at the outdoor seating. ~45 minutes and a couple mediocre drinks later, the manager from the restaurant next door kicked us off the patio, saying it wasn't Valentina's's outdoor space and their liquor license didn't allow outside drinks and they could get in legal trouble. He said they've brought it up with Valentina's's management multiple times and they keep sending people over there anyway. So we went back to the restaurant, and when we got inside one of the teenagers came over with our cold food and said that they hadn't delivered it because they couldn't find us. Such an infuriating, incompetent series of events that it ruined the night.

They're always out of something. Also you have to wait a super long time to get the simplest thing like beef brisket takes 25 minutes

Terrific beef rib (as expected) they never fail there. Great new location. I like the location and as usual we sat at the bar. The TVs were funny, one was on screensaver and one on the 2023 draft. I asked if we could watch the San Antonio UFL game and was told the TVs cannot be touched.

This was the worst restaurant experience I can recall having had in more years than I can remember. We spent $107 to get 5 sandwiches and drinks plus a carnitas taco that looked like road kill on a tortilla. The sandwiches were literally nothing but brisket on bread. They were out of EVERYTHING, including the slaw that's supposed to go on the sandwiches... which wasn't communicated when we ordered. The brisket was inedible. It was tough and couldn't be cut by teeth or knife. Even the tea was terrible (completely watered down). And you couldn't get ice without asking for it at the bar. It was totally gross.

Friends were excited to bring me here. I totally agree with another review that staff seemed like they were on sedatives. We were there at 10am and bathrooms dirty, no hand towels, garbages over flowing. No one is visibly in charge and kids walking around delivering food with zero urgency. They have a clean utensil station in same location as where you leave dirty trays, glasses and garbage. This seems like a health department violation. On the flip aide, the build out is attractive and bar and furnishings are cool. Queso was good, pulled pork chewy and Breakfast Taco was pretty good but brisket pretty fatty. Good thing I like fat. Also, they were out of nearly half the menu including guacamole? Avocadoes easily attainable in Texas and Guac pretty quickly made. It would be a shame to see this place fail. Ownership needs to step up and take the reins.

The food was cold, tortillas spongy, ice tea is basically clear. The staff move around like they are on sedatives. Everything is in slow motion. The tables are dirty, no one is cleaning up. Bath room is filthy. Trash cans overflowing. Comparing this experience to the original trailer off Brodie is just sad. Valentina’s is not worth it. Just terrible experience. Rudy’s is better at this point.

Sold out of almost everything before noon. Service was a joke. Plenty of staff, but nobody working with any urgency or knowledge of what to do. It’s a real shame. I’ve been a customer since the truck on Brodie.

New spot (new to me hasn't been since food truck) got the Holyfield.. massive disappointment. Tortilla felt wet and steamed like out of a microwave, brisket was all fat, two potatoes no cheese (I gather now that's an add on) but the taco was 13.75! I loved the truck but it was fresh and made by adults this place has bunch of kiddos who seem clueless back there.. I watched for 38 minutes while waiting on my 3 tacos to go. Also no lids for to go drinks and no napkins. Probably won't be back. So sad because I was so excited!!!

This was my second time here in the past 6 months. I was not super impressed the first time but decided to try it again. I went with my family around 1:00 today and the only open tables had dirty dishes on them. My sister and I cleared the dirty dishes and had to wipe down the table ourselves. Also, not to mention they were out of all the sides except Mexican rice, charro beans, and potato salad. They were out of about half of their meat by the pound and about 2-3 sandwiches. It took over 45 minutes to get our food. By the time we got it, the server told us they were out of the rice and beans and asked if we wanted to get chips and salsa in return. In my opinion, that’s not an equal trade off and asked if we could get a refund instead. The server was nice enough to take those off our bill and give us the chips and salsa for free. Our food was lukewarm at best by the time we got it. They were out of silverware and trays at the counter so we had to wait for the server to bring us some. The fountain machine was out of ice and when I asked the bartender, she said she could only give me a little because she has to get her own. She also informed me that the workers behind the counter needed to go to the store to get it themselves. Overall, not satisfied with the service and the cleanliness of the restaurant. I will not be back.

We came at around noon on a Saturday and half of the stuff on their menu was sold out which was very frustrating. We ordered the pork ribs and El Rey sandwich, both of which were good, but it took almost a full hour from when we ordered to when our food was brought out.
