Came here yesterday. Ordered the grilled vegetable hot plate. Food was extremely hot, ended up burning my tongue even after waiting a while to eat. The food had absolutely no seasoning on it at all. Rice and beans were decent. And all of this for almost $50.

One of our favorite places in Austin. The house salsa is in my opinion the best in town. All the foods we’ve tried have been great and the frozen prickly pear marg hits right. Can’t go wrong here.

The food and drinks are great and the staff is very nice but omg, I've ordered take out from here and 5 out of the 6 times they've left something off the order. Not enough to return and pick up the missing items (it's usually tortillas for the Dylan's Special or a side of beans) but it's so frustrating. Not going to order take out from here anymore.

We all really enjoyed our experience at Vanos! Service, food, and atmosphere were quite welcoming! We are looking forward to returning soon!

Good food but pricey and we were a little caught off guard at the end of our meal...the waitress brought the card reader so we could pay and took it away when the "tip" option came up and then gave it back. She selected her own tip for the dinner which we just felt was really rude. Look, we love to tip and especially for excellent service but in this instance we didn't even get the option - we won't return most likely.

This is my first time visiting this restaurant! The experience was very lovely and the service was amazing. Ambiance: There is a medium noise level and it is well-lit inside with the string lights and all the windows. There is plenty of seating tables, chairs, booth bench. Service: The serves constantly check up on you and they are all very friendly and accommodating!!Chicken Tacos: The chicken was very flavorful and had a nice char on it. I liked the flavor of the chicken but pickled onions are not particularly my favorite. Moreover, the tacos were a good portion size and overall tasty.Salsa and Chips: The salsa was very flavorful but a little too spicy for me. The chips were also very crispy and I really liked them!Overall, a good experience!! Good service and good food, definitely check it out if you are in the area.

After UT game, bro and I decided we needed real food so I yelped restaurants in the area and this one just sounded right (as a Spanish teacher a fave word of mine lol) and after our lunch was very glad we chose it. I ordered the chicken enchiladas w poblano crema and bro got the tacos w 3 different meats. Rice was fluffy as ricr should be and beans were good. As it was a weird time 330ish we didnt wait long for service. Our waitress was nice and helpful. The place was very cute and bar looked inviting. Oh and the limon agua fresca was so fresh! I live far away so dont know if logistically I could return but if I lived near I would go here a lot!

At happy hour sitting at the bar....no bar tender. Wait staff mixing their own drinks. Dropped and broken bottles. In 45 minutes, only received one drink and wasn't asked if I wanted another. And no one asked for my food order. Oddly, the owner/manager was sitting at a table in the bar area and just talked on her phone. This used be be a good, neighborhood spot. Now.....AVOID!!!

Lovely experience with such friendly service. Excellent real margaritas on the rocks, flavorful rex mex style. Wow come for happy hour and the servings are generous for just $5-$6 (half off apps) get the delicious queso w ground beef and roasted poblano, a couple huge tacquitos surrounded by Mexican Caesar salad, guacamole and or stuffed chicken quesadillas with side fixins. Look forward to coming back for the mains! Our server was more than gracious. Every single day happy hour 4 to 6.Parking: Limited parking in the lot but likely spots on the residential street around the side.Wheelchair accessibility: All one level, easy accessibility and parking.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, and awesome service. We love stopping by during the week or weekend for a great neighborhood restaurant option. Also, drinks are great, the Paloma is my favorite!
