Visited the establishment for Dinner,Did not have much of a wait time & were seated immediately. The ambience is very old/ antique looking,it wasn’t very clean & booths/ chairs do need a makeover!Menu is unnecessarily big.Food:Vegetarian enchiladas came with raw veggies , wrapped in undone tortillas, which caused me upset stomach later that night.Bland/ tasteless vegetarian option. For the chicken enchilada as well, there wasn’t much taste in the chicken or the entire dish.Shredded chicken has no taste either & is just boiled. For the prices on the menu, food is not that appetizing. They also have a vending ice cream machine for swirls of vanilla & chocolate, would not recommend it, doesn’t look clean & taste as bad as the look of the machine.Vegetarian options: Very disappointing vegetarian options.Parking: Lot of parking space

I took my wife for her birthday yesterday and she had the beef fajitas for one. It was delicious. I had the filot mignon, medium well and it was great, along with the mashed potatoes and veggies. Great service and atmosphere along with the delicious food. We will return.

Vaqueros Cafe & Cantina is our first stop before heading to Barton Creek Mall. The service and food is consistently excellent! The hot sauce is hot but tasteful. A jalapeño ranch is served along with chips and salsa. We enjoy their queso with beef, chicken enchiladas, tacos, and taquitos. We never had anything we didn’t like. You know it’s great Mexican food when you see the tortilla machines in the entrance. Our server, Carmelo, has waited on us numerous times; he’s always attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is well decorated, spacious, and ideal for large parties. Plenty of free parking. Thank you Vaqueros for providing excellent authentic Mexican food!Parking: Huge parking lot, plenty of free parkingWheelchair accessibility: Paved parking lot with no stairs to enter establishment or dining area. Spacious restaurant to navigate.

Walking into Vaqueros for a late lunch earlier this week turned out to be a delightful experience, thanks to the incredible Lexi, who I believe is the General Manager. From the moment I stepped in, she went above and beyond to ensure that my visit felt personal and special. The warmth and attention to detail in her service made me feel right at home, and it’s clear that she genuinely cares about every guest’s experience. As I took my meal home, I was not just carrying delicious Mexican cuisine, but also the memory of outstanding hospitality. Vaqueros, under Lexi’s management, truly stands out as a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy great food with a side of exceptional service.Heard the happy hour is amazing and can’t wait to go back!

I went here for a dinner date and picked up the bill. After getting home and mentioning how much it was, I went over what we ordered and realized I were overcharged $25. Never going back.
