I ordered 3 meals to go. I ordered 2 blackened catfish meals and a fried catfish dinner. They told us it would be about 20 minutes. When I arrived at the restaurant they messed up on my order. They only had 1 blackened catfish dinner and 1 fried catfish dinner. I had to explain to the hostess several times that I ordered 2 blackened catfish dinners. Her response was "I don't know if the cook can do it that way". We had to wait another 20 minutes as the order was not ready. When we got home we noticed that the blackened catfish wasn't on a bed of rice, like the menu states. Also, 1 of the blackened catfish meals was very raw. We had 1 coleslaw to split between 3 people. My friend has recommended this place and I am very disappointed that this meal. It was not very good and we brought it to the manager, Sherry. Her response was " if wanted it on a bed of rice then it would be an extra charge. According to the menu it states that the blackened catfish is served on a bed of rice. If I could have given a zero rating I would have, but I have to settle and give you a 1. I am a very disappointed customer.

If you are visiting Bastrop, just know that this place is a must for great fried fish platters and burgers and the locals know it. It was packed! I got Paw Paws Platter with a substitute of Green Beans... don't miss these gems. The fish was tender and the shrimp were huge. My son got the Big Mouth Burger loaded with egg, bacon and cheese. He affirmed that it was the best burger he has ever had. The staff were excellent... nice, fast, and attentive.

Waitress wasn’t the greatest & the shrimp was undercooked, the breading was mushy in the inside, took one bite and had to spit it into a napkin. My daughter loves shrimp but definitely left theirs there on the plate. Expressed our opinion to the waitress and no discount or accommodation was done for us. My daughter’s plate of shrimp and mine as well was left behind. Nonetheless I know better for next time not to stop in.
