Worth the stop, I can promise you won't be disappointed.We started with the salsa and queso as an appetizer, boring I know but it was good.We had an order for the Chef Salad and let me tell you, HUGE. FRESH and SCRUMPTIOUS. I ordered the slider, with the jalapeno cream cheese set up and let me tell you, this is in the Top 50 for a reason. Fresh grilled jalapenos. The slider is 1, served with fries, or sweet potato fries and you can add a side salad. The ranch was homemade and delicious.Service from the time the door opened to when we left was EXCEPTIONAL, friendly and quick. Thank you Roadhouse Staff. We will be back.

I never call places racist but this place is. I have given them 3 chances in my 5 years living in Bastrop and every single time I am let down. First time I went I was sat and not looked at for 15 min while other customers were sat and given immediate attention. I ended up walking out.Second time I went to the Paige location and was bumped 4 different times by waitresses and customers without and excuse me or anything. I still ate there food was okay but the way I was treated was definitely off putting as I had never experienced anything like that.Third time was a few days ago when again like the first time I was sat to only be ignored while other customers were sat and attended to promptly. 2 whole tables got sat with drinks and one even got apps while I had not even be asked about drinks. (A server told us to sit wherever so we sat right by the counter). We walked out again.Sadly will not be going here again.

The service was friendly; the food was fine; we ordered two burgers with sweet potato fries. Not great burgers/fries, but solidly good. (Mine arrived with a jalapeño bun where I’d ordered sweet sourdough, but I wasn’t willing to send it back At that point. I just skipped the bun and tried to eat the burger with a knife and fork without eating too much of the paper liner on the basket.) The big problem was that it took about an hour to arrive at our table. That’s ridiculous under any circumstances, but this was on a Sunday night at 7:00 or so, hardly high time for patrons. We really didn’t have that kind of time tonight, and I would have been far more inclined to come back if at any time anyone had indicated that the wait for food would be anywhere near that long. Not sure we’ll ever try them again.
