Went on a donut hunt the last time I was in town. We went to Tasty Cream, Happy Donut, and Shipleys. Out of the three - Happy donuts was just okay. It had okay donuts if you just want a donut that isn't Dunkins (because blech!) and you're in the neighborhood - sure go grab a Happy donut, but I wouldn't drive out of my way for these. The glazed was okay - it left a bit of a filmy aftertaste. Hubs had the chocolate iced and chocolate glazed. He said the chocolate iced was just okay, but the chocolate cake donut he shared a bite with my mom and both of them said it was gross. We also grabbed a sausage and boudin kolache and the sausage one was okay, but the boudin one had crunchy rice in it - sooo no thank you. So if you're in the neighborhood and want okay donuts then check them out, personally I'd drive the extra 4 mins over to Tasty Cream.
