So I purchased a Kevin bacon roll and it had the taste of sink water to it not sure if they are using sink water to cook with but it sure tasted like it. Will definitely not be going again

I arrived at 815pm on 4/13/24 for dinner. I was greeted at the door and promptly seated at a table (the restaurant was not full, but was busier than I've seen at that time). I sat at the table, menu in hand, for 15 minutes. Just as I decided that was long enough to wait to be greeted and a drink order taken, someone came up to me, where I asked for the manager to let them know the dissatisfaction. Tokyo is good food and atmosphere, but the Dowlen location is going downhill.

As a sushi lover, I have been coming to Tokyo for years and usually dine at their I-10 location since it's a little bit bigger. I had a wonderful lunch experience at their Dowlen location this week. The recent renovations to add more sushi tables allows for a quicker time to be seated. Our server was attentive and friendly. The sushi was very well made, fresh, and tasted fantastic. We were in an out in under an hour! Pictured is the Shaggy Dog Roll, a must try!

I have been to a few restaurants like this before and this was the worst experience I`ve had so far. Food was under cooked and just didn`t taste very well and as soon as I walked out the door my stomach starting hurting like I had food poisoning. The Tokyo in Port Arthur Tx is way better than this place for sure.

This place was completely messed up tonight. They were very busy, but they didn't have any silverware available. They also didn't have any of the little bowls for soy sauce. They seemed to be short staffed and just simply "off their game" in general. Maybe they were overwhelmed, but, yikes...Also, since they remodeled some time last year, they no longer have hibachi tables. They only offer food service tables. I don't know the reason for the change, but we have another location of Tokyo in Beaumont, and I believe they still have hibachi tables.

I love this restaurant! I crave it. I usually order the Kilauea Roll/ Poseidon Roll / Hell Hot Roll / California Roll… Occasionally I’ll get something from the grill. The fried rice and the veggies are so yummy!! The only thing I could complain about is the lettuce for the ginger dressing. I prefer more leafy green lettuce . I have been the unlucky one to get those big hard chunks from the base of the lettuce ??. But that ginger dressing is so good that I could just drink!

Service was good, sushi was ok. The steak was way overcooked, mushrooms had a nasty bitter taste, their idea of veggies is just onion and zucchini, the ginger dressing was gross, and this is the ONLY hibachi restaurant I’ve ever been to that just doesn’t serve yum yum sauce at all.. $145 after the tip to leave most of the food on the table.. sad. I’m only giving them 2 stars for the service Our water was great

Wonderful place - our go-to for sushi. We are from out of state and would go here every day if we could.This trip the waitress was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Food was wonderful as always. We ordered an assortment of sushi and tried the tempura combination for the first time. Delightful. Time to try dessert!

This is my second time visiting. The first time was over 9 years ago on me and my husband's first date. (From Louisiana)This time, a friend of mine took me here.The food was so delicious. I had a seafood salad for an appetizer. [It is big enough to be a meal, though].I had the Passion roll with soy paper and theKhamakazi roll with soy paper.The Passion roll was the best sushi roll I've ever had. WOW. All those flavors were having a party in my mouth. Then that splash of lemon at the end. AMAZING.I will definitely be back!!Hopefully, it won't take me another 9 years to return, though. ?)We now live in Texas!!
