Mark was a wonderful bartender. He was our first bartender there and he was fantastic. However, we went a third time (3/22/24) and there was a woman. I unfortunately did not get her name. She served me and told me that I was being too loud. I apologized saying that I am from a loud family. I’m sensitive and cried out of embarrassment. Whenever my friend arrived and asked me how I was. I’m told them that I was told I was too loud. The bartender then came back and accused me too of acting like I was 12 and Making her a villain. I assured her that I never spoke a bad word about her just repeated that she told me I was too loud. I was embarrassed. I didn’t feel welcome and we attempted to pay but she said to not worry about the drink.I don’t understand what happened or why she was mad that I told my friend what she told me . I no longer feel welcome at my favorite whiskey bar. My fiends tried talking to her to understand the friction and called her out on her rudeness simply by asking her why she was taking digs at me. They didn’t appreciate the situation.She didn’t have to keep insulting me/putting me down. I just needed a moment to process my embarrassment I already apologized for.

Pretty awesome spot! Had enough TVs for sports. Great beer selection. You can order food from next door and they will bring it over to you. Awesome spot and great service.

The strangest experience I've ever had at a bar; my husband had ordered a couple of shots and had had a beer- he's a big guy and I've seen him drunk literally three times in my life. He's a tank. Our waitress wouldn't allow him to order two drinks at once saying that he'd ordered too much already and she had to pace him, and 'it was the law'. Had a very cool tone towards us. He was so, so far from even being slightly tipsy. I closed my tab after one drink since I felt very unwelcome after several strange interactions; my husband never did receive the last drink he ordered. We came here only because we knew it *used to be* one of my friend's favorite spots, but this is unfortunately our first and last time here. I was told management recently changed and it isn't what it used to be.

If you're looking for a hidden gem, Ron's is it! Nancy, the bartender, makes an award winning old fashioned and it'll be the best you'll ever have! They've got a whole wall of whiskey to choose from, about 30ish draft taps to choose from (craft beer + local breweries). If you're in the mood for Cajun food, they've got a Bourbon St restaurant right next door that they're in collaboration with and sell food during the day until about ~8pm. But very good food as well!! All of their bartenders and staff are very accommodating and this place provides such a chill atmosphere, I promise you, Ron's does not disappoint. Ask for their old fashioned as an intro to your visit. You'll see the awards above the bar and know this spot is legit.

came late so didn't get to try the food but will be back to try it. amazing service. very friendly bartender but did not catch the name. place did smell of cigarettes, i was unaware they allow indoor smoking which im sure is after 10 based on signage but i was okay with it. just be prepared. but very good place!! will be back and loved it. good drinks
