Eating the rice and chicken casserole today. My friend had the pad thai last week and enjoyed it. So far so good. A bit salty but not bad.

Banana pudding, ugh!!!! Good size portion, BUT!!!! No banana flavor AND maybe one vanilla wafer cookie in the whole container. Made mistake and bought 2 of them!!!! Super disappointed. Bought slice of coconut cream pie, only coconut I could taste was from the little coconut sprinkled on top, very lacking in flavor with both desserts!!!! Super disappointed!!!!!

The lady working was extremely nice, and very knowledgeable and helpful. The meals were actually really good, including the "fit meals" too! Normally a "healthier" meal with replacements for the noodles or something is very hit or miss, but we loved the ones we got, and we loved that they were all 400 calories or under. The turkey meatballs would probably my favorite. The baked goods like the cookies were so so good as well. We live in Killeen and don't go to Temple often, but we will be stopping here every time we do now!

The store shares the same space with a Dry Cleaners business, so don't let it fool you. Excellent and economical. The lady who took our order, Julia, was so kind, friendly and welcoming. Just call to make sure the the menu item you want to order is available. Make it worth your trip if traveling more than 30 min because food is good and if you buy more than you can eat it’s easy to freeze for another day. Tortellini chicken alfredo and zucchini/squash medley is tasty. Green beans were nicely seasoned. The King Ranch has tones of an enchilada casserole, so next time I’m gonna make my Spanish rice and beans for sides. Rock on secret Chef!!

Found this gem while out shopping and wanted something healthy to eat, but not a salad. Oh my goodness! So tasty and fresh! I got the chicken spaghetti, salmon, and beef stroganoff meals, as well as the pasta salad. I had to try a little of each when I got home. Tastes like home cooking without the mess, time and cost. It would cost a fortune to purchase everything and make these myself. I got the 1-2 servings and it is at least 2 meals for me. I will definitely be stopping by and trying something new each week! What a blessing! Oh, and the lady that assisted me was super helpful and nice.

Spouse brought home the meatloaf and fish. The meatloaf/mash/green beans meal was tasty but the tilapia with almonds and asparagus had no flavor. I wouldn’t return based off the lack of flavor and inconsistency of flavors from one meal to the next. Then he showed me the menu with prices. I was blown away with how high priced these meals are, not to mention the small portions. It makes sense because of the location and high rent, but the food is definitely not worth the price.
I have used the Secret Chef several times already and each time has been wonderful. They have a great selection and I feel good about supporting local businesses. Julie, Judy and Stephanie have been wonderful. I give them *****, 5 stars

I decided to try Secret Chef again, as it has been a ling time since I stopped there. I ordered food for a weekend picnic and Easter lunch. Every dish I purchased was absolutely wonderful. It is obvious that the freshest of ingredients are used. My family HIGHLY recommends!
