Cat On Fire

i ordered an omelette azteca and my dad un caldo. the omelette was bland, there was no salt on the nopales and i am certain the refried beans were canned. my dad's caldo was cold, the corn was hard and the potatoes were raw. he had asked for light ice and they gave him a lot anyway. the best part was being rung up by a very polite, teenage girl. she deserves to work somewhere better.

Very rude kid just starred at me and told me there was no way to turn the coffee machine on. No explanation, no reason, no apology. Just "no". It's the only coffee in the airport!!

Surprisingly good for an airport restaurant, I was waiting for my flight and arrived early and hungry. I ordered the Norteno Burger with fries. The bun was perfectly buttered and toasted, the 1/2 pound burger was tasty. It is served with grilled jalapeño slices, pepper jack cheese, and plenty of avocado. Comes with romaine lettuce, very large tomato slice, and a large pickle spear, and a side of crispy thick cut fries. Water to drink with a slice of lime. The meal deserves a 5 star rating, but the cold water was definitely not purified water, and we all know that tap water was horrible.

The worst service ever. The cocktail waitress was incredibly sick. I felt sorry for her but she shouldn't be there. Customers were just leaving. The bartender had an attitude and tried to overcharge me. I ate one awful wing out of 12 and she never inquired why I did not eat them. Lots of great food in Padre. Skip the airport.

I agree that this should be zero stars. The food is ok at best and overpriced. The server is not friendly and can't even keep the coffee pots full. The place is mostly empty unless a flight is delayed and there are no healthy options. Considering how tight the actual gate area is, they should tear this place down and make another large gate area. Then, just put up Subway and a bar with a friendly bartender. Everyone will be happier

Food is alright, all prepared by the one staff.

The Hispanic bar maid will double charge you for your drink. $50 for 2 drinks and a basket of fries. She states you said a double and you did not ask for one she just assumes. Then the bill is $18 a drink and $12 for a basket of fries. Watch out she will rip you off. The only reason I gave it one star there was no 0 stars.

Zero stars actually! Had to click at least one star to post this. Do not plan to eat at the BRO airport restaurant. Even the chips and salsa are inedible. The chips were simultaneously burnt and greasy and expensive--$9.20 for a bottled water and a basket of chips and salsa. Plan your eating/snacking ahead if going through BRO. Also note that although there is a candy/beverage counter after security in the gate area, it is usually unstaffed and locked down, and there are no vending machines. You can't bring beverages through security. So hydrate we'll enough in advance to be comfortable until you can get something on the plane.
