This is my favorite place to buy tamales in Brownsville. The texture of the masa is just right and the meat (I prefer chicken) is seasoned just right. The lady I interacted with on the phone and in person was very courteous and professional.
Tamales are very good.Dont expect a business with doors you ring the door bell and they are brought to you.Hand Made and extremely fresh and very hot not machine made.Like some major tamal chains..But bring cash because Lopez tamales does not take American Express or other plastic cards/debit/credit cards they accept only Puro Dinero $ 10 dollars a dozen very well worth it

Be aware, ask for the prices...a dozen of pork was 11 bucks....Prices in reviews and photos are not updated. The tamales are great, like Gramma used to make.
