I should have ordered. My usual fisherman's platter which has fried fish and shrimp. Instead, I ordered a broiled fish filet that was not tasty and their usual delicious. Our waitress was awesome and very attentive.

First,the seafood was like a tomato soup, like water with tomatoes color,with a big potatoe piece and many tomatoes slices, two pieces of fish and some ?.....no rice like side, no tortillas...no bread ,for me is first and last time to visit this place downtown Bro..

In spite of the difficulty in finding parking due to construction projects in the area, it’s worth checking out this historic seafood eatery that is still family-owned after 73 years and 4 generations. Clean, neat, and tidy, with great food served by pleasant & attentive staff. Note: This is THE original Oyster Bar in the Brownsville area, and I remember being brought here by my mother in the 1960’s, and it offered great seafood and was well-managed back then, too!
