the food is great, micheladas are to die for, service is ok, but you have to know when to go to this place. it seems sketchy, like at any moment there will be a drug bust. as soon as I walked in for the first time, I was transported to typical 1990s Matamoros bars. it smelled like fabuloso and food. the decor resembled higher end Matamoros restaurants. one time we went and it felt like we walked in on a private party. they told us they were only taking cash at the time. we could've gone to an ATM, but things didn't feel right. another time we tried going on a Sunday, and just by the look of the vehicles and the people that were entering the place, I felt unsafe. super expensive vehicles and low class women wearing high class, skin-tight dresses, dressed to impress some Mexican Mafia boss. the first few times we went though, it was pretty good because their drinks and food is actually excellent, but I take it back, it's definitely not worth dying for. turns pinta de lavandería de dinero. if you're willing to risk it, go right after work but not too late, and def don't take your kids.

I've been to this place 3 times and the service is great and the management is attentive. I have no complaints over price, if I want a tortilla I'll eat it at home. I came here for the seafood soup and it is great. I come visit the valley from Houston often and I always stop here. Maybe the people complaining about the price are the broke chicanos living on welfare from the valley. Hey, they take Lonestar at the gas stations here, I'm sure they got tortillas there.

Regularly play blaring loud music on Sundays from 11:30 pm to 2 am. Who on earth is partying on a Sunday night? Loud music keeps decent people awake blocks away.

This place is a joke. Over priced food that is mediocre at best. Bland would be a good description. Service was ok. Nothing spectacular. Visiting once was enough. Won't be back. Prices are high. This place serves the tacky wannabe crowd from Matamoros best. They can keep this place!!

Restaurant looks nice but my food was inedible because it tasted like the cook dumped a whole bottle of salt on it. I had to return it (after waiting awhile cuz the waiter was too busy with another party) and it came out less salty but still not that good. The Mango margarita was good, I would only go back for that. This place has overpriced food that's just meh.

This place has great food and looks very nice. Their red sauce is amazing and their service is good. And besides the great food one of my favorite parts was the music. I was almost crying (in a good way) listening to some of those good classics! If you like Mexican this is a great option I like it a lot !

Food was great, waitress was awesome. But when you refuse to bring one flower tortilla to a 4 year old little girl, you deserve 1 star or even less.! My niece left starving because all she wanted was one flour tortillas to eat. Their response was, "I'm sorry, we can't sell or give away single tortillas" Really.....! Really....! Is it too much to ask from a nice Mexican restaurant, that I get one flour tortilla after spending over $150 on our meal!!! I guess it is! I'll take my business to Stripes down the road. They make great 25 cent tortillas.

Just had dinner at this restaurant---consumed over 100 dollars and they couldn't give us "ONE" tortilla for our 4yr old granddaughter who had not liked her meal. Don't understand.......loose large party of clients over a tortilla!!!!! Doesn't make sense!!!

My family of 10 and I were very disappointed on the service we received. When we asked for tap water, the waiter actually told us that we can get water from the water faucet outside the restaurant. Then, when we asked for several items from the menu, the waiter told us that the cook was not in to make the good so items were limited. After reviewing the check, prices were a lot higher than the items on the website included michelada costing us over $10. The waiter brought the owner so we can complaint about the prices being different from the menu and complaint about the service, the owner was very rude telling us that prices noted on the check was finally that he was not changing prices and telling us basically suck it.personally I was very embarrassed with my family being that they're from up the state. I WILL NEVER AGAIN WILL STEP AT A RUDENESS PEOPLE AND TERRIBLE SERVICE PLACE AT ZOCALO,,,,
