The atmosphere and decor was amazing. Our waitress was well mannered, but slow since we were the only guests there during that time. I do believe that the food quality and pairing of the toppings could’ve been better.I ordered the Korean BBQ cauliflower wings, jackfruit tacos w/ rice and beans. The wings were a bit too saucy and the ranch was too salty. The jackfruit tacos weren’t good due to the seasoning and the selection of toppings. We also tried a smoothie and it didn’t taste well due to the pairing of the fruits.I wanted to love this place, but think they could do better.

This is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in Brownsville, and is surely amongst the top options for vegan cuisine in the whole RGV. Even if you aren't vegan/vegetarian, the cozily classy ambience and atmosphere is sure to facilitate a fine dining experience either way. I always eat here whenever I'm visiting downtown Brownsville.

Good food, attentive service. We ordered chips and guacamole, cauliflower wings and enchiladas. Everything was good! I'm happy to see plant based restaurants sprouting all over the country! Good luck to the owners and a wholehearted thank you!

First, I have to comment on is the PRICE - super pricey. Spent $60+ for 2 people. But in an inflation period, I suppose it makes more sense. I hope the price goes down a little on some items.Second, food was good but not over-the-top amazing. As a vegetarian I enjoyed not having to worry if meat was in the dish so 10/10! Some items were really spicy for my husband, so if you or someone in your party are sensitive to spice maybe ask your waiter how spicy a dish is before ordering.Third, the food was served in paper plates and red solo cups yet they hand out bamboo utensils for sustainability? They have styrofoam to-go containers but eco-friendly bags to carry them in? It seemed all too confusing to me. As someone who is sustainability-oriented, it just truly felt contradictory.

If you would have asked me a few months ago. This would have been a 5 star review. I often frequented this place since its located a block from where I work. It was at least a once or twice a week thing. Unfortunately in my last order of pad thai I found what looked like a burnt end of of a bbq skewer or a match in my dish. Obviously I haven't ordered since, nor will I order from here again. Such a shame. Left an extra star since the food was actually good.

When I went to Brownsville I didn't expect to find one of the best vegan restaurants in the country. And yet, I did. Great menu with tons of options, delicious home made vegan cheese, and filling menu items.I strongly recommend the stuffed Jalapenos and the Philly Cheesesteak both of which are amazing and filling. Prices are perfect, and the decor is homey and enriching.Strongly strongly recommended. Possibly worth coming in from out of town for.

The food was edible just not tasty. We both had the Philly steak special. It looked delicious but was bland. The server was good as long as she was out from the back (where she stayed most of the time). She never came back to check in us after she delivered the food and never offered tea refills. It was so dark inside that we're couldn't tell if the restaurant had closed down or not from the outside. I had to lighten the photos a LOT. There is no parking except metered parking along adjacent streets.

Brownsville has a pretty limited amount of vegetarian and vegan friendly restaurants but Veggie Del Sol is a big time savior. The burgers are so tasty, nothing like your typical veggie burgers and the air fried sweet potato fries are amazing. Definitely want to taste the whole menu lol.

We immediately smelled the cleanliness of the place as we walked in. The food was really good. Nice ambiance. Friendly staff. Would definitely visit again.

I don't know why it has taken me 2.5 years of living in Brownsville to try this place but I'm so glad I did. The food was excellent. Even my husband, a meat lover, loved his "pulled pork" sandwich. I had the jackfruit tacos, so flavorful and delicious. We also had a pitcher of sangria, a nice addition to our meal. Very relaxing environment, love that they are open on Sundays and have good prices. Will definitely be back!

The service was amazing they were very nice however the food was just not it. Me and a couple of friends who have been dabbling in veganism tried various things off of the menu and only truly enjoyed the fries :( We really tried being optimistic but even the drinks were bad. Would not recommend especially if you are like us and are wanting to begin a vegan lifestyle. The 3 stars are for the service honestly.

I love this place sooo much! There is usually something new every time. The thing I would recommend above all, that we go back for over and over is the vegan Philly Cheesesteak --- it is huge and can easily feed two people. It is their own homemade cheeze and is loaded, on a really thick and toasted bun. There is nothing else like it in Brownsville. Everything on the menu is vegan, which is reassuring. Another favorite are their loaded nachos. One time they had banana flower blossom "fish tacos" which I had never had before, that was excellent also. They blend flavors and ideas, being on the border, so you have your choice of all-American staples like Beyond burgers or vegan versions of classic Mexican dishes like mole enchiladas and friijoles ala charra. I went vegetarian as a kid when my friend had a pet rabbit we used to play with, then I came home from her house one day and my mom had made rabbit stew. There was an actual curled-up rabbit foot sticking out of my mom's stew, and I was so horrified, I've never looked back. That was back in the 90's, so I'm very familiar with vegan cooking after many, many years, and this restaurant really does offer something special. Pretty unique for the valley. I've taken friends of mine here several times, and the Philly cheesesteak or the Hawaiian Beyond burger are both safe bets for those not used to ordering from a vegan menu.
