First time eating here. I'd passed it a few times and made note to try it out, today was that day. Amazing! So quaint, so real, so good! It's different and special. Everything I ate was amazing, reasonably priced and worth every calorie. I left full and happy. I never had a torta prepared in this style, with sauce on top. It's a game changer. The bread was somehow still crunchy in the sauce. You have to try it. The empinada was also like none I'd ever had before. So well made, I loved it. I 100% want to come back and try other things. The staff is also very nice and helpful. I felt welcomed and just overall had a nice time with great food.

I just hopped off a greyhound from dallas, was starving the whole ride and on my maps, chick fil a was 0.5 miles away, as i started my half mile trek with a suitcase and bag on my back, i stumbled arctoss this little hole in the wall spot, literally! i didn't order anything to extravagant, but the birria tacos were great, and the watermelon aguas frescas was, no exaggeration, pretty damn amazing. the food came out in minutes hot and fresh, with extra salsa on the side. 10/5 come here if you have the chance.

Food was amazing I've tried so many places and this one is my favorite one. Great customer service and very in expensive. They have an outside sitting area and outside over all good experience.

Hole in the wall taco joint. Might even miss it if you're not paying attention. But I had the 3 chicken tacos and empanada and all were fantastic. I'll definitely make a point to come back. Cashier also helped me out on recommendations and he nailed it.

Chivitos has been the OG for me since moving to San Antonio -- we come here at least once a month and have never been disappointed!! The jamón y queso empanadas are my favorite. Simple, but super yummy and great when you're on the go! I've stopped by to grab these on a lunch break and they're ready within 5 minutes. The tacos sauve are my fav... I always get the carnitas but have tried others and haven't been able to find flavor like that anywhere else. The birria is one of the show stoppers though. This marinated meat will melt in your mouth and the consomé is bombbbb!!! Try the birriaramen if you're in the mood for something warm and delicious!!!

Phenomenal taco spot with a wide array of juices and other food options. The owner I assume was super inviting and friendly. The service was great!! I got the birria tacos. Definitely some of the best I've had. Came with some consume. I had the horchata beverage which also was top tier. Need to come back to have more! The have a covered outdoor spot.

I was craving quesobirria tacos for a couple of days and decided to give this place a try. The quesobirria tacos are okay...I've had better in SA. I really enjoyed the Elote more. I would comeback because of the convenience of there being a drive-thru. Especially since it's so hot in SA right now. They were super quick too.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! DELICIOUS. 10/10. Everything has sooo much flavor. Service was fast! Music was good , covered seating !very clean . Gentleman walking by always checked on us and picked up our plates when we were done. The mini asada tacos meat by itself was delicious but all together..greatness. I've been on the hunt in San Antonio for the BEST Quesabiarra tacos and THIS IS THE SPOT. The thing I pay most attention to is the consome and the flavor and the oil ratio .. this consome is 10/10. Flavor , ingredients I can taste throughout, how well it soaks into the Quesabiarra.. MUY SABROSO! Definitely recommend!

Wanted to try something new. The entrance is not obvious, luckily an employee saw us and showed is the entrance. It's between the food truck and the building. Inside go to the ordering window, order your food, give a name and then find a seat! The lemonade was really good! We tried the mini tacos with asada meat, soft taco with carnitas (? Not too sure as the hubby asked for carnitas but the person suggested buche and he said okay sure), and the birria torta ahogada. We liked the mini tacos more than the soft tacos because the asado was more flavorful. Both were still tasty. We liked that the torta came with the tomato sauce on the side. It's good for people like hubby who didn't want any sauce on his sandwich. Got the birria empanada for our kiddo so don't know if it's good. Hubby was tempted to eat it though.

This place is officially on my "favorites of SA" list. We ordered a little bit of everything including the carnitas torta ahogada, quesibirria, birria ramen, picadillo empanada, and birria empanada. Everything we tried was amazing. My favorites were probabaly the carnitas torta ahogadas and the birria empanada. The carnitas was so tender without being too fatty and flavorful. The empanadas had an amazing flaky crust and the filling was delicious. The green sauce served with the empanadas was AMAZING. I ordered ahead online and the food was ready for me when I got there so I just had to swing through the drive through and pick it up! Staff was friendly and the food was amazing. Definitely will be back.

Let me start by saying this first. If you want spicy ask for the red salsa first. They keep that one in the back. LolThis place was a spot we stopped at because my oldest wanted some Birria tacos and my normal spot was closed. He and I both got the Birria tacos and they are good. Needed a little salt and salsa on both the tacos and consume but other than that they are good. My wife got the tacos with carnitas and potatoes and those are really good. The tacos have a nice crunch and the flavors are all there in ever bite.Didn't really care to much for the agua ti pineapple because it had a lot of pulp but it was fresh made and not powder so that's a plus.I would go back to try it again and try new things on the menu. The ambiance is very chill and relaxed and the seating has about 7 tables. The service was great and very attentive. Very clean and fast.

Food is amazingly delicious and filling. Drinks are also great. I highly recommend to anyone who has a love for tacos and BIRRIA. The meat is tender and not overly fatty. The consume is also very flavorful. Service is also great they are fast and always very polite. They also helped clean up any plates that we are done with which I can appreciate. Ambiance is also nice we love the music and outdoor seating is good when the weather isn't bad. Perfect for a sunny day

Shameful that I haven't left a review since I've eaten here and brought people here so many times. It's close to Black Friday deals which resells returned items from Amazon. So if you go there then be sure to come here. If you're coming here be sure to pop over there to see the craziness and the deal$$$.I love this place ... it's one of my go to's for birria. Warning though ... it's a shack. The food touches the face of God though. It hits so many places on the tongue: spicy, savory, sweet, salty, and umami... all 5 tastes! The textures too 0.o ... silky shredded meat, grilled tortillas with crisp edges, crunch of fresh veggies. Oh such a journey for the senses! The three things that I keep going back for are: the ahogada (aka drowned sandwich), birria tacos, birria ramen. Ideally, I'd go with someone and split the sandwich and the ramen and get a taco on my own. I'd dip the taco in the ramen instead of ordering the consume. The sandwich is crazy the bread has a crunch that rattles your brain; even when drenched in the tomato broth! The tacos I already talked about it's a religious experience that makes you see biblically accurate angels with so many eyes and time warping voices. The ramen... is just crazy ... just imagine the most beautiful person from São Paulo, part Japanese part Latinx sophisticated and professional but still fit and bronzed like they go to the beach every day. That is what this soup is like. It's gorgeous, it's mellow, it's spicy and just when you question if you can handle anymore it slaps you. Such a fantastic time! If you slurp your noodles then let them slide over a fork or through your chopsticks. You don't want a wild noodle smackin' your eyeball with this broth. All this begs the question... why not 5 stars? As mentioned it's a shack, there's outdoor seating and an outdoor bathroom. I've never been in it and the thought scares me. It can be Buccee's pristine in there but I do not know and it's that uncertainty that's holding me back. I've only ever gotten take out from here ... but it's always glorious.

Visiting Texas for a conference, we had to eat all the good Mexican food. This was the best meal ever! We pulled up to a small hut-looking building and were immediately hit with the aroma of deliciousness! We ordered at the window and our food was brought to us. Quesabirria combos all around and birria ramen. Oh.my.god. Just amazing! The tacos were crunchy and cheesy, the consume was so good, and when dipped, it's the perfect explosion of flavor in your mouth. The ramen was okay. I tried it more for the experience- Not something that I'll eat again, as the combination just didn't do it for me. The price was perfect for what we got and we all left SO full.
