BEST beef Fajita tacos around. Me and my husband have been getting the beef Fajita tacos for years. I can't speak to the rest of the food since this is our go to Fajita spot. The flour tortillas are hand made, a bit on the thick side, almost like bread. We love them. The staff at the window are nice but not usually personable. No one looks like they are excited to see you but then again maybe because they are always busy. All in all the Fajitas are loaded and flavorful.
I can never have enough positive things to say about Garcia's. I have visited almost every location. From Kyle to Buda to San Marcos to Lockhart....I love Garcia's!!. I have been dining at Garcia's for over 20 years starting at their San Marcos location & the food has always been delicious. Beginning from the moment you sit down with their chips & salsa or queso, I always order the Mom's plate...a cheese enchilada with a taco & rice with beans. Sometimes I will order their tortilla soup, my husband loves their fajitas as well as the enchilada dinner. Everything there is just impeccable. With all the different locations & how it seems as though these locations are opened by family members, I can only assume they have passed their recipes & the way they make their food onto their kids. Waited 20 minutes just to get a coke waitress was on her cell phone the entire time. Then ordered fajitas and she never brought tortillas even though I asked twice she spent most of the time in her phone.

Garcias really hits the mark as one of the most budget-friendly and flavorful Mexican spots I've been to. Their chips are exceptionally light and crispy, unlike anything I've tried before. I suggest grabbing a table outside to enjoy the beautiful, breezy setting. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, plus the portions are huge! Definitely worth checking out.

So we were down in Buda looking for a place to eat, and after checking out YELP reviews, we chose Garcias. Garcias Restaurant is on the main drag for downtown Buda and looks like the building was a former small bungalow house. There is a wait, so plan accordingly. When you arrive, you sign into a waiting list, which the host or hostess comes around to the waiting area and calls out the next name on the list. Since we hadn't eaten here before, we did ask our server, Ashlynn, for her recommendations. We chose to go with the "Garcias Deluxe Cheese Enchiladas" dish and the "Enchiladas Ranchera" with chicken dish. While waiting you definitely can smell the food cooking in the kitchen which only made us more hungry. We didnt wait long for our meals, and we were both pleasantly surprised by them! We came from San Diego, where mexican food is king, and really, these dishes lived up to the hype! Both enchilada dishes were tasty and were served with generous portions. Try the home made flour tortillas too - all of which was excellent. The service staff and manager checked on us several times to ensure we were having a good experience. If you are ever in Buda, TX give this restaurant a try. I think you will be happy you did.

The chicken tortilla soup is the absolute best!! I stay in Schertz, in Buda,& in Austin and I will drive to Buda location just to get some chicken tortilla soup. And not to mention the outstanding service my family and I receive from the friendly staff. Ruby and Lupita are my regular waitresses and I absolutely love them!! This is a family friendly restaurant and no matter how far I live, I will be back! Thank you Garcia’s staff for excellent food and service you consistently provide!!
I'm amazed the Garcia's rating for Kyle is not higher than I see. I eat there at least 1x per week & absolutely love the authenticity of the food. If you are not at lunch early, prepare to wait for a seat. Personal favorites are the chicken fried steak & shrimp fajitas.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, but it seems within the last year or so the food has gotten really salty. The last time I had to send my food back. Today I was really hungry, so I ate what I could still very very salty. It’s a shame because this was not always the case. Maybe they got a new cook?
