We had one order of steak fajitas with jalapeno, and one order of shrimp fajitas. Easily the best fajitas we've ever had. They're not shy with their margaritas either. If you're in Round Top and have a knack for Tex-Mex, try this place. Staff are really friendly, the building could use some upkeep, it was hard to spot at first.

I had the quail and it was amazing. Ground beef enchiladas are the best. Five out of five Stars.

Worst food I have ever eaten! Refried beans had a weird aftertaste, rice was awful, carne guisada was terrible. Staff was completely overwhelmed, took way too long for them to take our order. We will not be returning!

We are from WA state, traveling in our RV. I guess WA state needs to get with it, because my entire family agreed, this is the best Mexican food we’ve ever had! I also had Lilies salad, amazing. The nachos were fabulous too. My husband said “the best Spanish rice he’s ever had”. My daughter had chicken fingers and fries and proclaimed them amazing.Parking: Steep driveway going in, but totally doable.Kid-friendliness: My daughter LOVED the chicken fingers and fries

While there aren't many options, in Burton, Los Patrones is hardly considered settling or a default choice. Prices are a little high, but the portions are HUGE! Plan on sharing or asking for a box. The queso and salsa are also quite good and easy to fill up on (so I hear :) ) The chili relleño with chicken, and the stuffed avocado are some of my favorite dishes here. Other neat info: The margaritas are strong, and there is soft serve ice cream, if you manage to have any room at the end of the meal.

I was looking for a place that is in between The Woodlands and Austin to meet my mom and this town does not have a lot but we found this place and it was delicious. Even though they were about to close in 40 minutes they took care of us and didn't even rush us when they were closed - they even offered us ice cream after we paid (I think they were about to clean the machine for the night). We did try to be considerate though and not stay after too long. I had a combo plate that had a tamale, cheese enchilada, and I think a taquito (I want to say it was the Matamoros combo plate). And it was all delicious. I'm glad we found this place - we plan on meeting here in the future. Oh and the refried beans were also very good.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Absolute worst food ever and it made me very ill. The waiter needs food handling education. He kept wiping sweat from his forehead with his bare hand, touched his mouth and beard numerous times. Just overall disgusting place.

This is a true hidden gem. The atmosphere is relaxing and quaint. The service was great, and fajitas, queso, salsa, and iced tea were all fantastic.

My favorite Mexican food in the Brenham area! Great fajitas. I recommend the picante beef steak from the grill menu.

Been here 3 times. First time, atrocious wait time. No one updated us when we would be seated. Just left at the front wondering and waiting for an hour. The food was good. Margarita disappointing, not top self as I expected. The waitress took an almost full order of enchiladas, my child hadn't finished without asking if we wanted a to go box. By the time I caught on she was throwing it in the trash.2nd time was in the afternoon with my son, everything was fine, seated quickly and good service. The 3rd time called several hours in advance to reserve a table for 11 at 6:30. They said that was fine and would be ready. When we got there they said they were getting it ready. We never saw anyone after that. 45 mins later we left to eat somewhere else. It's unfortunate my own home town has a place with such little regard for their customers. They missed out on a lot of money and good tips. Not only that night but going forward. Will not be coming here anymore.

It’s great for what it is - a hole in the wall Mexican food joint in Burton. Portions are good. Margaritas looked great. Taste wasn’t bad. If I was a local, I’d probably be there once a week.
