I "discovered " Charley's Philly Steaks @ a truck stop on I-55 in Ill. about 5 years ago. As a driver I stop at a Charley's whenever I can (which is rare), as I need parking to facilitate the stop. Nonetheless I try to get there when possible, and have eaten at several different locations.Yesterday I had the luck to catch this location shortly after opening, and ordered the regular 9" Philly Steak with everything and extra meat. I must say that this was the ABSOLUTE BEST Philly Cheesesteak that I have had at ANY location, over about a dozen meals at various franchise locations. It was absolutely the BOMB!!!I will be back.......Parking: Semi truck parking is opposite the fuel pump. Car parking is on the West side of the building.Kid-friendliness: Nice dining area with plenty of room for families or singles.

Family friendly place, great food and not much else like it in the area. Clean tables, friendly and accommodating staff. High chairs for my kids and everything. Love the wings, good assortment of flavors. Always seasonally decorated, and the management especially are peachy! Will come here whenever I hit the ol' dusty trail.

The lobby was very bright with wintery decor, very nice to see. The cashier was friendly and reminded me about my points to use! Food was nice and fresh and they remembered my no onions which is always nice.

I don't like to make these types of comments but in this place they have terrible service. We ordered chicken Philly, it took about half an hour. Now they didn't give the wrong Oder. We waited half an hour more and they didn't give it wrong. I told the guy who was leaving that I couldn't wait. They charged me 16 :22 was the worst, we didn't go without eating

Dalton was excellent and the service was amazing.The food and atmosphere are perfect.
Trash was over full, the tea was spoiled very badly i opened it to see if there was anything in it and the containers were brown,there was trash all over the tables and floors, the cheesesteak gave me bad diarrhea, the cashier was severely rude, and my chicken wings where still very red on the inside and they gave me about 6 little fries and I spent over $20 and not to mention the wait. This place is horrible, I should have gotten pics but I was entirely disgusted. I ordered something for long john silvers and they said they use the chicken and fish fryer together,isn't that cross contamination. Their fish is completely grown when it should be a golden brown, this place is nasty.

I ordered wings and requested that the wings be fried extra hard. They're NOT cooked the way I requested. I had to put them in the microwave before I left. I won't return. The cashier was very unfriendly. Totally a nasty attitude and no ranch or Bleu cheese was offered.

I was so excited to see a Charley’s this close to me. When I got there and realized it was in a gas station, I was disappointed, but it’s Charley’s, so it was worth giving a chance. I should have stuck with my gut feeling. I was not impressed. I’ll stick with driving further to get a Charley’s cheesesteak I know is good.

So unprofessional the employees where in there eating walking around with no care ordered chicken then had to pay for dipping sauce they said it didn’t come with meal that’s the first I have ever had that happen they where loud on there phones in and out the dining room area eating and running back to fix food the worst ever I’ll never eat there again
