Fresh sashimi and various live seafood. But unfortunately, other reviews say something absurd, but people who are used to frozen raw fish and don't even know how to eat raw fish will never know. I don't understand why people pretend to know things they don't even know.

The owner is a sweetheart. The popular dishes are fresh fish, sashimi, if you enjoy those type of dishes. The variety is not there in terms of different seafood options. The price is quite pricey, but it is fresh.

Yummy bread! Marble taro, taro puff pastry and cheese dog are good! Pork sung bun, pork sung cake and espresso bun are just ok, skippable for me.

This is a small hole in the wall setup, run by the owner and a minimum crew. Similar to other Korean self-serve places in the area, don't expect much service. You do some legwork to keep the prices down. The place smells clean and the fish looks and tastes fresh. I ordered the $59.99 sashimi platter. It is a decent mix of fishes but that mix is likely going to change each week depending on the catch. Many of the seafood items are market priced and not clearly stated. So, be sure to check the price and the weight of the item you are planning to order first. In a similar place that offers live seafood, I normally follow the staff to the tank/scale and check out the condition and weight of the catch before committing to it. That way, there is less surprise when it comes to your table.I actually prefer previously frozen sashimi over live ones because some fishes are known to carry a large number of parasites that are difficult to remove. (e.g. Salmon)

insta: dmv_reelsWe were three people and ordered large live fish halibut! Very fresh. Came with some tempura but not that crunchy. Also came with maeuntang after the dish. Overall a good experience. Be prepared to do a lot of service by yourself such as getting water, soup, sauces etc. There was only one server and she was pretty occupied.

My husband says when you enter the restaurant and it doesn't smell like fish. This is a good sign. Yes the sashimi was fresh! Fish fly in Wednesday so best to go Thursday after the fish calm down lol. Large portions with seaweed side and special garlic miso sauce housemade. The stew they make is a bit spicy and salty. Perhaps msg? Their menu doesn't have much kids options. I ordered edamame and udon for my daughter and it was average. Service was fine.

The service was HORRIBLE. We went one night and they were completely out of live fish and told us you'll have to come back the next day. We asked what comes when you order hwae, and asked if it comes with side dishes. The lady said yes. So we go the next day, order the hwae. Asked about side dishes and the younger guy at the counter says it doesn't come with side dishes in a condescending way. And we had to ASK for the free fish soup that comes with it. Which was premade, and they don't give you the pieces that are leftover from the hwae you ordered. Avoid this place and the younger guy needs to really change his attitude. He had this "I don't care" attitude and talked to us in a condescending manner.

There are some customers in the comments here who are looking for freshness, but I've only eaten frozen sushi so far, so I'm new to fresh sushi, so I can't tell what's good. What can I say to someone whose tongue has grown accustomed to frozen fish and can't tell the difference between good and bad. Hagisa People who like aged fish may hate live fish, but my mouth hurts when I say anything to someone who can't tell the difference between frozen fish and live fish. It's a pity that the ski dashi didn't come out in the comments below, but the houses that have a lot of ski dashi don't have a lot of sashimi. Business people never do business at a loss.

Was very excited to try this place for Korean style sashimi. Sadly they just missed the mark on so many levels. First, when I walked in I asked for a table in the back. She asked why, I advised we had a party of 7. The waitress/owner(?) said she would have to clean it. Which, ok? Does this mean you don't want us to dine in or what? Then asked if we had a reservation? There was one other table occupied, wtf do we need a reservation for? Anyways, they accommodated our party but then had an attitude when she realized 3 of the 7 were kids. She said "you'll have to eat quickly, then". I asked why, she said we were occupying more space than we were ordering for and that she expected a dinner rush. I asked if she didn't want our business but she must have not heard or ignored me as she walked to the back. And no, this wasn't a disconnect in language because I am fluent in Korean. We ordered a large omakase, an order of raw shrimp, an udon, fried shrimp tempura and steamed lobster. So, even with 3 of the 7 being kids, we ordered plenty of food to be treated with respect. And again, the rest of the place was empty. The omakase was fine, but I felt like they gave us mostly end pieces. We also didn't get any of the fish soup that usually accompanies the large platters. The fish was pretty fresh tasting but I had a couple frozen/icy pieces so it makes me wonder how fresh it actually was. Service got better. Until the lobster came out. They were out of butter, not sure how and why she wouldn't have told us when we specifically asked if they had butter before we ordered. The lobster was very rubbery due to being over cooked. And the mind blowing kicker...market price was $149!? Didn't disclose how many pounds or anything, just showed up as "1 lobster steamed" on the bill. At this point I definitely didn't feel like arguing with the already rude ass lady so we just paid and left. Needless to say, I won't be back.
