Our first time ordering from here and it was disappointing. We ordered Pad Thai, Tom Yum Soup, pad see ew, green curry, and Laos sausage. All the food were lacking so much flavor and extremely sweet. We asked for spicy and they all were mild, except the green carry which had a little kick to it, but so sweet that i can barely eat. We will not be ordering again.

First I am from Korat (Thailand) and am very good cooking Thai food. Me and family go often. Always tasty and always good service. We like so much we had our son graduation party at Sweet Rice. Owner is always so nice and makes it pleasant. We really like the way the place looks and feels. Always a nice time at Sweet Rice. Go to location though. You won't be disappoint!

We have been to Sweet Rice three times now. Every time is always a pleasure. I wish we lived closer (Denton) but when visiting family we make sure to stop by. Pad Thai is good and spice is right if you ask for it correctly. One time I did order and it was a slight to spicy for my taste but very delicious. My friend ordered the curry chicken and it smelled wonderful. (he refused to give me a taste. ..lol ) but looked wonderful. Staff is so friendly! They are definitely the nicest I've been to. They are very attentive and always make certain that the experience is five stars! Highly recommended!

I would give a "0" star if I could. Frankly speaking, it was by far the worst Thai restaurant I have tried in Dallas. I ordered many foods like the Vietnamese pho, the curry, the fried pork spring rolls and also the kids meal. The pho tastes awful!!! The beef all stocked together and hard to take a bite, the sprouts that came with the soup was aged and smelly. I even ordered some kids meal for my baby, and the pork spring rolls are just very hard to swallow boz of too salty! Plz skip this restaurant and don't make the same mistake as I did.

The owner is so sweet here. It's really great food too! I love this place for take out or you can grab a nice meal in a very relaxed space.

Good food and big serving. Price is reasonable. I will go back. This is a hole in a wall restaurant.

Nice little Thai/Laotian restaurant - mostly Thai. Great appetizers. I loved the crispy rice lettuce wraps with tofu. I can never find vegetarian lettuce wraps. And these were good. The Pad Thai fries were a good appetizer too. We had Pad Bamee which was really good and green tofu curry which was not bad. But the hit of the night was the black rice pudding for dessert. Not too sweet but just a bowl of warm deliciousness. Service was great. I only wish there were a few more choices on the menu from Laos. But overall a great restaurant and we'll be back.

I really want to love this place because of it's great location. But, every time I go there the noodles are cold and the tofu tastes old/dry + the noodle portion is smaller than other places. I drive 45 minutes away to go to another Lao/Thai place in Plano because of this. But I'm really rooting for this place! It has potential. The taste is good, it just has never been fresh the 3 times I've picked up from there (and I pick up before UberEats even says it is ready.) *important edit, this review is from January, when they used UberEats, I will go again using their new ordering platform.

We've been to the Frisco location before. We didn't think the food was that great but decided to give the Carrollton location a try. Very disappointing. Food was done fast but there really was no flavor to them... 1. Beef pad thai- extra spicy Huge portion but the flavor wasn't quite there... I asked for extra spicy and this had no spice at all. I did get a lot, but it didn't taste like pad Thai at all. 2. Side of fried rice It was fried rice. Nothing special. A little on the dry side. 3. Fried riblets Probably the best thing we ordered here. Would get this again if we ever decide to come back. 4. Papaya salad- extra thai spicy Not spicy at all. Tasted like 0 spice. The flavor was terrible. I could barely even eat it. I've order Laos papaya salad from so many places and love it. The taste of the papaya salad here was missing something. Would NOT order this. Not sure if they were having an off day but this was very bad. 5. Nam Khao- extra spicy Not spicy.... Not surprised. Lol. Nam khao was crispy but literally needed fish sauce or some sort of salt. It had no flavor. I don't think I'll come back, the food was just missing so much flavor and I order all the food to be spicy and none were spicy.

Didn't take pics because it wasn't worth it. I only went to this place because of the reviews but obviously I won't fall for that again.

Sweet staff, really good service and the Tom Yum soup and chicken pad Thai were fabulous. Nice, clean restaurant with a good size bar. I found it really easy to get to and will definitely go back.

This restaurant is awesome! Our 2 families tried for the first time tonight and love love love this place. We ordered 8 different dishes and all turned out great! Even our kids loved it. Their food does not taste like the typical Thai restaurant, it is very tasty and authentic. They have the mix of Thai and Lao flavors, which is very tasty. The meat and vegetables taste very fresh. The owners came out to greet us and they were super nice and genuine. Come support this family business, you won't regret!

Love the food here. Boat noodle is wonderful! French fries for my baby. Thai tea for the sons. We come every couple of weeks to try their off the menu weekend specials.
