A sensational spot filled with excellent food. With a wide variety of dishes that will suit every pallet you cannot go wrong here. Layers of flavors that complement each other are sure to please. Great service and a relaxing atmosphere make this a top spot for family dining.

Busy joint with energetic vibe and good service. My sister brought us here during our visit. Yakitori was okay, the chicken skin was way over cooked. Pretty good sweet shrimps, love the crispy heads as they were really tasty. We also tried the fried oysters, grilled octopus and scallops sashimi. Overall okay food but definitely a cool and lively izakaya to chill out and have a bite.

It's definitely one of the lowest ranked Yama locations there is in Dallas. It's not as bad as the one in Plano. That one is the most awful of all 4 locations. This one has mediocre food and service. I suggest staying away from the lobster rolls and the ramen. The ramen is flavorless with a ton of oil.If you ever go to this place, just order water... hopefully, you can't miss that up.

This is my 3rd time here and the food is constantly good. They're also a good restaurant for big groups because they have the capacity and good service. We ordered a lot of items but I only have photos for the 1. kaarage (good crunch and taste), 2. double pleasure roll (this is always my favorite), 3. triple _(forgot the name) roll (good but I like the double pleasure better), and 4. seafood creamy udon (like alfredo pasta with seafood which was really tasty and good amount of seafood).

Ate here for the first time the other day and was super excited! The sushi was amazing. It was perfectly filled and rolled. We had a few different shrimp orders and those were great too! The chicken skin skewer was a little disappointing as it was very small and hard. But other than that it was great. Pricing was pretty good as well and service was friendly. Can’t wait to go back and try out they other food options! Oh and I also loved the vibe of the restaurant, they had movie posters up like Godzilla and cute origami birds hanging from the ceiling in the entrance, how fun!!

Whenever I'm craving quick late night sushi or even a variety of small Japanese bites this is my go-to spot! On Thursdays they have certain nigiris for only $1-$1.50 per piece. My all time favorite comfort dish here is the creamy seafood udon. It's perfectly seasoned and I crave it all the time! Last night our group ordered the sashimi salad which was surprisingly loaded with lots of fish, delicious, very filling and decently priced. I ordered the katsu chicken curry which was a pretty large portion and I was only able to finish half of my plate. My friends have celebrated a few birthdays here because it's super friendly for large groups as they let you reserve and also allow individual tabs to be paid separately which makes it very hassle free!

First time hereA total disappointment The steam egg never came even after we asked for 3 times.Everytime we asked about it we were told it would be ready in 3 -4 mins. The grilled salmon was bland and had no flavor at all.Spicy ramen is not spicy at all and it came with a lot of ginger? Tastes weird.

Not only Izakaya menu but also Omakase sushi course and Ramen, they are all-rounder of authentic Japanese foods. Try their Ishiyaki WaGyu and Dinner Entree "Gozen(御膳)"!!!!

It’s 25 mins drive for us but so much worth it. It’s warm, cozy, welcoming, very comfy restaurant with great service. Even though short staffed the server was full of energy and extremely courteous. It’s hidden gem in Carrollton and I love their prices!!! Huge selection of variety of sushi and udon, fun for kids and adults and their warm sake is not diluted. One big pot does the work and make you happy on Friday evening!!! Every dollar you spend is worth it. The prices are decent, quantity and quality is very good too. We ordered 3 sushi rolls (signature) and udon soup and two hot large sake and with 25% tip our bill touched $100. I love sushi and I love this place. Oh and their restroom is extra special with warm seat and bidet!!! What more you can ask for???Ambience- 5 starFood quality- 5 starFood quantity- 5 starCustomer service- 5 starPrice - affordableRecommend- absolutely!!

I'm not gonna lie.. this Yama is not as good as other locations. I've been to the Dallas one and that is by far the best location. If you're looking for affordable, this is the place!! If you're looking for fresh quality, I would try elsewhere. However their service was 100!! Which is my main reason for giving them three stars. There were a few dishes that weren't too bad. Omu curry (4/5) Seared salmon belly (4/5)Fried chicken gizzards (1/5) not fresh at all. It was like eating chicken express. Spicy tuna (3/5) Inari (3/5) Tamago (3/5)

Most items on the menu is really good~ Sushi quality could be better but still good. I'd suggest any of the bento boxes or noodle based dishes :)

Pictured are Buta-Kakuni and Chicken Kara-age I have ordered earlier this year.I have been here several times this year with sand volleyball buddies. My go-to menu items are the Buta-Kakuni and at least one Chu-Hi cocktail. They are both excellent. The Chu-Hi are lightly carbonated and slightly alcoholic, i.e. they taste like soda. The chicken Kara-age is fine, and I also have previously enjoyed a Sundae roll and Udon carbonara.Service is good, and I have not encountered long waits for a table or any other part of the dine-in experience.

This place is such a scam. The menu on their website states 5 wings but you only get three. When you ask why they tell you it's because the price of wings went up so they now only give you three, yet even their own staff did not know this change. Manager didn't even have the decency to get on the call and talk to me but instead was telling the cashier I was speaking with to handle it. Poor girl even told me she would pay for the difference. The cashier is more qualified to be the manager than the existing one. Frustrating how a place like this is still in business.

We were looking for a place to have a late night snack after a show at the Majestic. Remembered this place on our way home. loved it. sushi is amazing. service is great. we will be back often.
