I ordered food through Door Dash and added special instructions for my entrees. When the food was delivered it was not prepared the way I requested, nor was it fresh. I contacted Hot Wok to inform them I was not happy with my order. The manager/owner stated we had no way to charge you additionally for your special requests which were extra onions and and extra egg in my fried rice, and spicy Mongolian Beef. Therefore, they did not honor my request. I asked if they could remake and he stated "no" if you not like you don't have to come back and hung up on me. I will never eat here again.

Yesterday was my last time going to Hot Wok. I ordered online. Over $25 worth of food. They forgot my extra eggrolls again, combo fried rice barely had meat and only two pieces of shrimp. The won ton soup was oily and the chesse puffs tasted like they had been sittig there all day. Never again will they get my business.

I have gone here before over the past several years and it has never been good. Mainly out of a sense of no other real alternatives and a hope that maybe "this time will be different" Chinese food generally isn't that great seemingly no matter where one goes - Andrew Zimmern was correct in saying as much publicly about the state of Chinese food restaurants in America - that got him booted from favor for saying so, too. BUT this last time will indeed be the last time. Ordered a basil dish w/pork and it was terrible. No flavor and it was quite apparent to me dried basil was used in the dish. Frankly speaking, I don't understand how one can come away from eating the food here and not be terribly disappointed in the food quality. Egg rolls were very greasy and hardly fit to eat. I will never understand this with restaurants, this one included. Sorry to leave such a review, but it is deserved.

Placed an order for delivery. Was 30 minutes late on arriving, which was understandable due to weather. However we ordered combination lo mein and it wasn't what we ordered. There was no meat or shrimp in it. Just noodles and veggies.

This is a ZERO rating. They left out 2 egg rolls on my order but that didn't bother me as much as the soggy sweet and sour chicken. When I called I didn't even want the egg rolls and simply wanted to let him know about what appeared to be roach droppings which I didn't get to as he had the audacity to say I seemed buzzed when I picked up my order and said I forgot eating the egg rolls and hung up on me. One of the worst and humiliating experiences ever. Do yourself a favor and get your Chinese elsewhere. Bad food and ended with embarrassment.

Paid an extra $3.50 to get noodles instead of rice, still only got the rice. So for over $10 got a small portion of food that was not even that great and lack what I paid for. For another order we asked for fried rice, and we got steamed rice instead. Honestly, not worth it at all and wish we just had ordered from somewhere else. V disappointed.

After a bit of a communications gaffe my order arrived hot, as ordered, and delicious. Not a cloth napkin kind of place, but a great way to get a hot Chinese dinner fast to enjoy with the whole house.

The food is good and fresh. Nothing over the top but it will satisfy if you need Chinese food in Cedar Park. Hot and Sour soup is very good.
Ordered takeout today.Kung pao chicken combo and a sweet n sour chicken.The Kung Pao was bland, both orders were underdone and stewed or not crispy but instead soggy.The food also made me immediately unwell.Don’t do it.

Roaches!!! My wife grabbed some takeout from Hot Wok Cafe earlier this week. We got about half way through eating our food when we noticed there was a cockroach in our sweet and sour pork. I immediately called the restaurant and asked to speak with the manager. I was told the manager wasn't around. The employee then asked that I come back so they could replace the dish with something else. Of course by that point I had lost my appetite and even if I hadn't, I couldn't trust that anything else wouldn't also have bugs in it. The employee then took down our phone number and told me that the manager would be calling us back the next day. The manager never contacted us. This place needs to be shut down by the health department ASAP!

Just bad.. I debated not leaving a review and have waited a month to do so. I dont want to hurt business during a pandemic, but at the same time, dont want anyone wasting money on terrible food . We ordered takeout and when my husband picked up our order, the lady accused him of not paying as he was about to leave. The order was prepaid online and she hadn't bothered checking.. bad customer service. A man came over, checked , saw the order was paid for, and apologized. Fine, mistakes happen. But the food?! Yuck about sums it up. We ordered their lo mein with chicken, broccoli beef, and kung pao chicken. The meat was extremely chewy, all the sauces were extremely salty, and everything had a bizarre smell , similar to canned pet food. It was so bad we threw it all in the trash and ate sandwiches for dinner. What a waste. Now, more than ever businesses need to stand out and adjust in order to keep business. This place stands out alright but not in a good way. We don't go out anymore and ordering takeout once a week is our new norm as it is for lots of others, dont waste your hard earned money and support a business that treats its customers better and has better quality food.
