I have been going to Spotlight since they had the mechanical bull. I have always loved Spotlight, but it is so much more enjoyable now that smoking isn't allowed inside. It really makes a world of a difference. The owner is so awesome and is quite the singer as well! Will definitely be frequenting this bar more! Also, the karaoke contests are so much fun, the energy between everyone is amazing!

Bad singing, local drunks. One drunk guy stumbled on stage in the middle of my song and started yelling into the mic.

Spotlight karaoke was very fun. Most people that were there were there to have fun and enjoy themselves. There were a couple incidents while we're there but overall the atmosphere the food and the service was good. There was one bartender whose drinks were very bad compared to the other bartenders that were there. Overall though I would definitely go back.

I recently moved to Leander from the lakeway area. As a professional singer in a band, I like to frequent karaoke bars on my free time to unwind and have fun with my girlfriends. So I was eager to find a new stomping ground. I am now a regular here and love everyone on the staff including EJ , Jessica and the owner Warren. I also love chicken wings and these are among the best I've tried. Cheers spotlight karaoke! Rubi loves you xoxo

Drinks are ridiculously high and you wonder why people stopped coming to your establishment. We had a big party and one white male lead bartender was very rude. Learn how to work in a busy environment. Will not be going back.

DJ kept saying we were next...an hour later we left DJ and owner were drunk and both not able to help customer expereince...It was about their buzz..Too bad as we really looked forward to this but willnot be back. Please as owners and managers, don't be drunk at the event you are running...

They take too long between songs to for the the next singer. Weve been here for 15 hrs and my firneds song still ahsnt been called. Top spin has singers going one after the next. There should be a queue on screen so people know when they are coming up and can be in the wing.

I know this is a Veteran owned but my first visit was disappointing. J was there for 2+ hours and sang 1 song and there was only 1 other singer. If it's a kareoke bar, and there are singers with songs turned in, they should be catered to.

less karaoke is my only advice, us young people love to dance! crank the dance music up after 10pm! I love the bar staff, they're lovely!

It's a shame... this used to be THE SPOT to go.. but with the new ownership, everything has changed. The staff, the atmosphere, the vibe, EVERYTHING... It used to be such a friendly, upbeat, amazing place to get drinks and spend time with friends, and now it's all about the owner.. It's interesting how that now none of the original regulars frequent here anymore. They don't like it because of the changes. It's now all about how the owner manages to stick his nose into business that should be the responsibility of his bar staff. It's becoming now about the "FAVORITES" of the owner.. and not about the clientele that brings in the business and money. Someone I care about was kicked out of the bar last night by the owner due to some he said/she said bullsh*t and it was done in the most disrespectful jerkish way possible. It literally was phrased to him as "hoes before bros"... and as a WOMAN, I know that's wrong. And to the staff working.. it's so sad and downright rude that nobody could stand up for what's right.. WARNING: To the potential women wanting to come here expecting to have a good and enjoyable carefree time.. BEWARE OF OWNER.. he uses his "status/money/cars" to get what he wants regardless of who it may affect. I have had more than 1 female friend of mine say how creeped out he made her feel (sexually harassing speaking) that they no longer go here either. So to sum it up.. if you are looking at going here as a female.. BEWARE and watch out for the owner

Literally sat on the patio to play connect for and they kicked me out for not having an ID present. Though I understand it is a bar, I do not have access to alcohol outside.
