I thought this place would have been revamped from the last restaurant but unfortunately they missed the mark again. Server was nice but the food blah. $100 for mimosas and 2 appetizers.

We had a great experience at Sweetwater Oyster Bar recently! Food was surprisingly good for seafood restaurant in Cedar Park, TX, especially the Gulf oysters. Our waiter, Jessie, was very helpful, personable, and attentive. Cocktails were tasty. A little pricey but would definitely go back.

Food and ambiance was fine, but the prices are crazy. Would rather take the time to go to Austin and pay for parking and babysitter more for a better, less expensive meal.

More than oysters. Started with drinks and a variety of oysters. All were great and fresh. We shared the Surf and Turf special which included a filet and choice of scallops or crab stuffed lobster. The bartender recommended the scallops which did not disappoint. These were the star of the meal- so much so that we ordered another side of scallops. The service was ok- even with reservations they sat us at the bar instead of a table and service was a bit slow. It was a Saturday night but not too busy. Good for a date night but not with a big group.

Very good tapas size plates. Well thought out and balanced. Cocktails are not too strong and appropriate for the food. Oyster selection is good, and the sauces were exotic and savory. Not a loud environment, it is very good for date night.

We really wanted some oysters tonight, so rather than "driving into town" we stopped by our newly found hidden gem for oysters in Cedar Park... Sweetwater Oyster Bar. You'll never guess, but we ate at the bar... LOL Zach was our bartender/waiter again and remembered us from last time. Zach provided excellent service again, start to finish. Thanks Zach! We started this evening with a couple of Last Word cocktails, a fun combination of gin, chartreuse, maraschino liquor and lemon juice... Delicious! We make version of these at home, and this one was as good as ours. First course, of course, was oysters. One dozen super-plump, juicy and briny gulf oyster, served ice cold, on ice. Awesome oysters. Some of the best in ATX, IMHO. The oysters are prepared properly, meaning shucked and then cut away from the muscle that holds the oyster to the shell. We frequently run into oysters that are shucked but not cut from the shell. The oysters at Sweetwater slide right off the shell. Presented with side of cocktail sauce, horseradish, vinaigrette, saltines and the tiny bottle of Tabasco. We briefly discussed getting a second dozen, but decided that culinary discipline demanded we move one... and so glad we did, We ordered from the Crudo section of the menu, the Nama No Sakana. Not sure what that means in Japanese, but at Sweetwater, it means 5 different sashimi on a plate: tuna, salmon, hamachi (yellowtail tuna), octopus and scallop. Served with lemon wedges, soy sauce and caviar. All of the fish was super fresh, expertly prepared. We finished up with another "new to us" dish, the Mediterranean Branzino, a fish in the sea bass family. Topped with a couple of shrimp, couscous, grilled lemon and sweet potato puree. A well thought out and presented dish. The dish was terrific. That topped off another top-notch meal at Sweetwater, now consistently presenting 5-star food, beverage and service. Highly recommend Sweetwater!

Was visiting from out of town and my BIL suggested we go for happy hour, the oysters, crab and cocktails were excellent. Prices were really good compared to some places I’ve seen in Austin. Service was impeccable.

Went there for their Happy Hour. The Gulf Oysters were delicious. Additionally we had the fried shrimp and their house margaritas. The service and food was top notch. We will be returning soon.

Love, love, love this place! They do run out of some items from time to time because they keep only the freshest fish and oysters on hand but don't worry because their whole menu is amazing! The staff is spot on and their Sunday brunch is one of the best in all of North Austin!

The food was wonderful and the service was great in spite of it appearing they were under staffed. I took my friends that were visiting from Dallas and they loved it too, I will be going back to try more items off the menu!!

Had a reservation for this restaurant and they completely dismissed me and told us there was going to be a 2 hour wait. Would not recommend coming here on a special occasion as they will not stay true to their word. If I could give 0 stars I would, the manager handled this awful as well.
