A delightful surprise. This looks like a tea and coffee place but it is much more. This charming little restaurant offers a relaxing ambiance with nice tables and chairs but also two wingback chairs for extra comfort. The menu is limited to breakfast and lunch with just a few items but those are truly special. I had the avocado toast with an egg for breakfast and it was incredible. Thin crunchy whole grain bread topped with fresh avocado (of course) and bits of tomato marinated overnight in a balsamic dressing. The egg was perfectly done. For lunch, I returned and had the Mexican street corn soup with carnitas added. The soup captured the flavor of helotes -- roasted corn with mayonnaise or sour cream and a little spice, usually sold by street vendors. Like corn chowder with a little heat. The dollop of carnitas was lean and perfect and added more substance to the soup. The bowl of soup was a generous meal. I also took away an eggnog cupcake. Prices range from $3 for a breakfast taco to $6 for larger items, more if customized. My breakfast was $17 with a huge custom iced tea with pomegranate and cranberry plus the avocado toast with egg. My lunch was $14, including the cupcake.

Loved our visit to Cornerstone. This was a beverage-only stop -- we'll definitely return to try food options later. Coffee drinks (Americano and latte) were on point, as were the loaded teas. Nice, cozy place not far from I-45 on the town square. Great morning breakfast stop.

This small Cafe serves breakfast and lunch. They have a limited menu for food, such as breakfast tacos and bowls, etc. They serve a wide variety of coffeees and teas. They even offer dairy free substitutes. The best part about this Cafe is the service! After you begin eating, someone genuinely asks you if everything is to your liking. Later, I was asked if my iced coffee was to my liking. They also have a small outdoor patio that faces the courthouse as they are located on the square. I'm definitely coming back on my journeys to/from Houston to the DFW area.
