Alejandro was a great host. As the new manager, he made us feel welcomed and he was truly interested in making sure we enjoyed everything. We are so excited that the Layne's here in CStat has followed the model from the Dallas area as it was one of our favorites before we moved down here. We usually hit this location for dine-in, and it is always clean. My husband loves the spicy strips, but I stick to the original which never disappoint. This is my favorite place for chicken strips.

Hi genuinely used to love making a stop at Layne’s when I would come back to visit family in College Station. But since the menu has been reworked the quantity of food has gone down as the prices gone up. Today, in my four piece box I received what I would consider to be two large chicken nuggets, and two tenders with 16 french fries. I know that inflation has gone up everywhere but I was incredibly disappointed when I got home with my meal. It definitely is not what it used to be.

This is the last time I will be eating at Layne's. Not only has the new owning company increased prices, and made previously free items come at a cost, both my wife and I had something wrong with our food. This is also not the first time something like this has happened. My to-go box has a squished bug in it that I found AFTER eating my food, and my wife's bread had tiny bits of black plastic sticking to the top of it.We used to love Layne's, but it is apparent the new owners do not care about providing a quality experience. Spend your money at Cane's.

Good fried chicken tenders. Well battered, fried crispy and meat still moist. Fries are crispy too. The dipping sauce has some kick and some sweet too. Addictive. Simply well done. I don't know about atmosphere, wife went in and came out so fast I never got a look.

Food always taste like it's fried in old grease at the William D Fitch location. The Tenders look to have gotten a lot smaller in size too! The size of a large fry has gotten smaller in size too! It's been like this since the world opened back up (post covid).. not like covids gone away.. but you all should know what i mean! Prices increased (just like everywhere else.. so no complaint there).. but the quality & quantity of the food should not have taken a hit too! This place used to be my family's dinner spot at least 2-3 times a week with each of our kids being in sports, & the location close to our house. Not any longer.. since early in the year 2022. Chicken hasn't been juice on the inside & crisp fresh on the outside in years. The grilled chicken sandwich has tasted salty the last 3 times I purchased it too.

Old Ag and College Station native back in town for a couple nights. Layne’s was a non-negotiable then and (I assumed) now. Probably spent half my income here in college living on Walton Dr. EXTREMELY disappointed in the changes made here. Totally and completely screwed by the employees tonight. Left toast-less in my box. They’re “not doing” spicy tenders. Asked for jalapeño ranch, received buttermilk ranch. Two new things that have been hyped up for me, was screwed out of both. Great. Maybe I’ll be back to try them in a few more years—that is—if this place survives any longer now that their prices are sky-high. Layne’s had something going for them back in the day. They lost sight of what made them the local dive I grew up with weekly.

Food is delicious and warm! Layne’s is a staple in town! They now have shakes too! ? I love the nice cups for the large drinks that you can keep and re-use at home! The employees are super friendly! A favorite for sure!

Went to this location 30mins to close. I understand I went late at night but that Does not mean my all my food should all be cold including the fries!! Why would you do serve this? Then asking for a refund the person not sure they can do it? I did get my refund. Also great of the employees to talk trash. Great job!

If you are craving for delicious chicken and perfectly seasoned fries, this is the place. Very inexpensive, nothing luxurious, very dry customer service and small smoky place but food is worth the visit. Recommended.

Chicken is great hands down beats the other guys. I will say the dining room was a mess. Floors and table tops dirty I definitely wouldn't eat in kitchen seemed clean but always makes you wonder if they can't keep the main area clean how clean is the kitchen. Service was ok seemed way more focused on the drive thru but we made it work we did order one reg and one hot but didn't get the hot chicken. Still good but sad they can't focus more.

I've been going to lane's chicken for about 15 years for a finger basket. But the new owner decided to change. The menu. You don't get potato salad anymore in french fries and five chicken fingers . And I would not anymore. Hello to Cane Chicken

Very poor service. Microphone was out when we pulled up so we pulled up to the window and the workers stared at us for a good 10 seconds like we were zoo animals. Was really weird. It then took 15 minutes for our box combo to come out at 2:30 on a Thursday afternoon. No one is here. It should not take that long this is ridiculous, save your time and eat Canes. They are better anyways.
