Not a fan, maybe it was because it was later in the day but, all of the meat was dry, the ribs were mostly bone, the Mac n cheese did not taste good and they didn’t have cornbread. I wanted this place to be good.

I order the 3 meat plate brisket, sausage and chicken with green beans and potato salad. Brisket was dry angreen beans do not taste good. Sausage, chicken and potato salad were good.

Needed food delivered for a friend’s funeral. McKenzie’s was fabulous working with advice for the amount of food needed and delivered it straight to the home. Very personable employees.

I was looking at the menu and when I stepped forward I was almost yelled at Order in or TO GO?!!...I politely said can I ask a question?...I was NOT ANSWERED but the lady looked annoyed at my question. I said where is the POTATO SALAD?,,,,,She said (while attempting to put her head out and look back at the menu board) I can't see it from hear and then STARED AT ME like what's next?...THEN it call came back to me from the last time we ate here......1) TERRIBLE CONDENSCENDING ATTITUDE like they were OWED or ENTITLED for me to give them an order. 2) The food was cold AND tasteless!...3) The beans were a ZERO!...4) WAY----WAY---OVERPRICED!!.....So we just left. We went to Krogers and bought 2 pieces of BBQ chicken,,,a roll,,,drink,,,a PINT of REAL POTATO SALAD. for LESS THAN ONE OF THEIR SIDES!!!.......We are never going back to Mckenzies BBQ in Conroe Texas.
This place used to make excellent brisket but the last two times coming here the brisket as not good. It was hard to chew and not tender like it used to be. The macaroni was still good but the cobbler has sank in quality also.
