Boathouse, more like RAThouse! I came here with my 2 friends because it was very close to the place we're staying at. We saw multiple rats run from the kitchen into the dining area!! you heard that right, RATS! Come check this place out if you like to watch rodents run around while you eat.

I don't think I have ever left a bad review. Let me start by saying the waitress was fine, no complaints. Ok so I read the mixed reviews before we ventured in, but it was getting late and we were hungry. We placed our orders at 6:30. We received our appetizers in a reasonable time. Salads were fine, ranch was good, mozzarella sticks got a positive response from those that ordered them. Calamari was AWFUL. I wish I was exaggerating. It was so dry you could crumble it like a cracker, probably freezer burned. Waitress offered to take it off the tab. Our dinner arrived a little after 7:30. My Mother in laws Cobb salad with crab was imitation crab and the bacon crumbs were massive chunks as hard as marbles. My sister in law could not eat her fish and chips, she said the taste was awful. My son didn't care for his either but I thought it was edible and not sister in law said it tasted better than hers. Safe to say it was just average pre frozen fish and tips where the "batter" isn't so much crispy as it is stale. I had grilled shrimp and it was fine. Uncles burger was fine, husband's stuffed shrimp was ok, he said ten mozz sticks were better. I did a get chuckle out of the friend potato salad, when asked what exactly it was the waitress wasn't sure how to describe the sauce, it turned out to be friend potatoes in tartare sauce. Not complains about the flavor as I enjoy dipping my fries in tartar sauce, I just found it funny that she didn't know how to describe, maybe she didn't want to admit what it was. Anyways. Save your time and money and go else where.

Plate Presentation Sucked. Beautiful pieces of red fish served on an appetizer plate, with bread covering the fish and a cup of cucumber salad jamed on the side. A nice large oval plate would have brought the viusual dinning experience much more pleasant. (the grilled fish was over cooked and covered in pepper, couldn't taste the fish)

I went with my wife for a date night without the kids. Drinks and appetizers were great and the view of the sunset over the water was top notch. The server took a loooong time to deliver the food and it came to the table lukewarm. I got the chicken tacos and they were the tiniest $15 plate of tacos I've ever seen. The quality was straight out of the cafeteria at elementary school and I think gas station tacos were more flavorful, I was extremely disappointed. If you come here, come for the bar and apps. Do yourself a favor and skip the entrée in favor for someplace else.

Worst food ever. One person ordered boiled shrimp and it was rotten. Smelled bad and tasted worse. She couldn't even eat after that. The red snapper I ordered grilled came out blackened and hard and dry. Way over cooked. Waitress didn't have much to say other than Oh sorry. Spoiled our first night on vacation.

Great food, great service and FINALLY someone actually knows how to make a Mai Tai! Great job y'all, very impressed! I did giggle a little though that I was charged a dollar for salad dressing on my side salad, not extra, just the regular dressing. But, I mean, it's a dollar no big deal! Great otherwise though!!!!!

Nope, not for me. Kind of an overly rustic bar, not really what I want for a restaurant. One of the few times we walked out before ordering. They say they're under new management, so maybe try back later.

This poor place. The food is good but everything is so bad. They wrapped dirty silverware and blamed it on the dishwasher. It was gross.

It could be a really cool place, but it is kind of run down. The server was really nice, but I had to ask for utensils 3 times. The food was just alright, but the fried cheese sticks were amazing!

The food was less than mediocre. Had the fish and chips, it was a thick soggy batter with no flavor, red snapper was dry, lacking flavor and small. The chicken tacos were ok. Wait staff was nice and the view was good. Tables are very rustic. Very

I have not been here in probably 4 years; it is a dive. I stopped on tonight for a beer, I ordered a Hopadillo draught, lots of foam, lacking carbonation. The bartender did offer me an alternative, I declined. The miserable pour cost $8, I don't pay that in San Antonio. Had the beer and left, not to return. It was not just the beer price, it was the ambiance, lots of bar flies. Very disappointing.

This place was horrible. The food was sub par, not worth the long time and terrible service that we received. It was such a bad experience that I would not even give it a second chance. Do NOT go here. You're better off eating Snoopy's.
