Chips were bad, nachos were very very greasy , queso was American cheese and congealed almost as soon as she placed it down. Sooooo bad... Will not be back. Food was very over priced..

This the place to go for wonderful Mexican food thats not the same old Jalisco style food you get at every place in town. The stuffed fried avacado and the seafood stuffed eggplant are a must try. From the chips to the salsa was just amazing. So much better the the 200 or so Mexican places. The servce was second to none. Give a try folks, you qill be pleasantly suprised.

Can't say it was a good experience. Eaten here in the past and it was great! But recently it wasn't so. The waitress was very nice. The place was not busy at all. It was Sunday around 5pm. They had live music outside. They were short staffed. The food tasted like left overs we had chickenand beef fajitas. My kids chicken strips had pieces of tin foil in it. My tortillas were rock hard, again tasted like leftovers. The chips and salsa were good though. I'd suggest paying your employees more. Perhaps then you could actually keep employees or entice people to apply. I own a welding business and I pay my employees very well. They show up with a smile and do great work. I tipped the waitress decently even though the experience was no good. Good luck I don't see this restaurant lasting much longer.

Don't bother. It's a waste of time and $$. Waitress/hostess was nice in the beginning but by the end she was over it. We walked in around 1pm on a Friday and the place was empty. That should have been our first red alert. I went to the bathroom before we sat down and it smelled like nothing but overpowering air freshener. That should have been our second red alert. When I looked up at the ceiling in the bathroom, it was filthy. Third red alert. The saying is: if the bathroom is dirty you should wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. We ordered fish tacos and shrimp tacos listed as $13.99 on the menu. Menu said they came with a lime/cilantro sauce, but ours didn't. When we asked the waitress said they were out of the sauce so they didn't put any on it. It would have been nice if they had given us the option to order something different. When the bill came the charge was $16.99/plate. I went up to the waitress stand to get an adjustment and the waitress's response was something along the line of: I just entered what you ordered and that's the price it came up as. Then she copped an attitude and started calling me momma. After telling her I needed to speak to the manager, she said, again with attitude, that the manager was on the phone so I'd have to wait. I handed her our tickets, which she refused to take, and then said I'm going to the table and I'll be happy to wait. The manager came over with a smile and was very nice. I explained that we were overcharged and she went to fix it. She comped a portion of the meal and explained that she'd been brought in by new management to fix issues. Even with the great discussion we had, I would not go back. Edit: oops, I forgot to mention that the salsa is good.

Just ate here, service was bad, no communication, the tortillas had a bad smell n taste to them, the meat didnt taste like meat, there was flies everywhere, all over our food, and very over priced, for 2 plates was $31 .

I have no clue why I did not look up this place on yelp before I went!!!! I am a big fan of yelp and this place is the reason that we need yelp !!! look at the pictures from previous visitors. Now back to my story. I drive by this place 10 times a week always wondering why it's not busier now I know. Service was OK new waitress been there a month but yet did not know if they had any other salsa available I ordered a chiller Riano with Borracho beans and got my plate with refried and with baracho on the side . Cool ok but when I looked at the refried they looked really dry picture to follow OK looked at the beans the Borracho's looked good but yet taste was completely different very disappointing at this point and I said to myself that fajita chili Riano is gonna be the best wow was I wrong. Chile Riano Will be scorched before served to takeoff the skin but yet they scorched and left Burt skin on put little chopped up bits of fajita unseasoned Blan and tough do I really need to go on left mail on table tipped the waitress for being a one month newbie transferred from the other location don't really understand la playa. Having fun at the bar and with karaoke on the outside maybe they should probably try to stick to that because cooking food they have no clue.

Last two times I’ve been here food tasted stale and old. Not like it use to be. Air conditioner still not working? Hot. I should have taken a picture of the meat in the stuffed avocado. Gross!!!

Worst place ever do not waste your time and money. Microwave food, and the owner is really rude. Went out with the family for dinner on a trip to Corpus Christi. Everything is seem fine after us into the food start coming out someplace were coming out before other plates and people had to wait. For their food when we’re all together did not make any sense. My little girl was The last person to get her plate. Over priced..
Stopped in here Saturday 5/28. Parking lot had two cars mixed reviews but we said let’s do it. Service was great and the food was pretty good. I always look for smaller places when out of town and this one was a good one. Sad to see it so empty. Would definitely go back.

Restaurant was very hot, their air condition is not working. Rice tasted like soap. When waiter was informed he played it off like it was not important. Instead he was quick to talk back. Over all not going back again.

We drive from San Antonio just to get their tarasco fish.. But, yesterday must have been a bad day cause , they sat us and forgot about us.. they say 4 more tables and did serve them....Unfortunately, we had to go toOur second choice.. The U&I packed but well served... maybe next time.

Amazing food for an awesome price! We had the deep fried avocados, and they were awesomely delicious! The place looks like it's small from the outside, but it is actually quite inside. The menu has a lot of other choices too. Deepfried eggplant stuffed with crab and scallops, Chile rellenos stuffed with shrimp.

So the food wasn't great. It was pretty two-three star food... at least it was until I found three chicken ribs in my burrito. Really hurt the teeth. Would never go here again. Fork for scale.
