It was a fantastic experience meeting with Pramod ji at SV Catering, he provided us sumptuous food last two evenings. It was like eating home food, with best ingredients - every dish - Chick peas, Rice, Mutter paneer, Naan and the topping of Carrot halwa as the desert.We never felt away from home during our two days in Corpus Christi.God bless all at SV Catering

If you're EVER craving some Indian flavors, this is THE place to go, tucked inside the YWCA.First of all, service is top notch: super friendly & fast, lovely people!Second of all, it's a great value - nowhere else can you get this quality & quantity of food for about $10.Last but not least, THE FOOD: I've eaten Indian food all over the world and my mother's & grandmother's kitchens - this butter chicken and gulab jamun are better than ANY I've had anywhere else. Truth. I dream about this stuff.Can't wait to come back to try the wings!! While writing this review, SV Catering currently boasts a 4.4-star rating, and I find myself questioning why it's not even higher—frankly, if I could rate it beyond 5/5, I certainly would.Located in the YWCA in Corpus Christi, SV Catering is a hidden gem serving some of the finest Indian cuisine in Texas! Despite living in Houston with an array of Desi food options at my disposal, nothing quite compares to the satisfaction derived from this Corpus Christi establishment.The food is both simple and exquisite, striking a perfect balance between the indulgence of restaurant fare and the comforting simplicity of homemade dishes. In my opinion, their Gulab Jamun and Butter Chicken surpass any competition! However, I've also relished their Idli and Sambar, Chickpea (Chole) Curry, each proving to be equally delightful.We inhaled the food SO fast, so unfortunately no pictures.It's unfortunate that the journey from Houston is a considerable distance, but the exceptional culinary journey provided by SV Catering makes every mile worthwhile. Excited to try their tandoori wings... Until the next visit!
GO HERE NOW. Not being a hater, but coming from NY/NJ & Houston, traveling & eating around the world as I do, Corpus Christi is a bit of a food desert. But don't fret, wander hungry no more. This place is tucked away in the YWCA, but it is SO worth the trip. The team here is amazing - such good people, great service, clean place, friendly vibe, family-run - can't go wrong. Everybody who works at the YWCA seems to know them and love them. The food is ON. POINT. Again, not being a snob, BUT...I'm comparing this place to my own family's kitchens, Michelin-starred places in DC and NY, amazing restaurants & hole-in-the-walls in Chicago, Boston, Houston, Austin, Mumbai, and Pune, and this stands with any one of them. Strongest recommendations are for their butter chicken and their gulab jamun. I know it might sound like a rather pedestrian order, but to me that's the true test - how well do you do the simple things. And SV Catering CRUSHES it. I legit dream of this stuff. I hear they have tandoori wings that I'm dying to try too. One day soon...

Wow! A hidden gem - a hole in the wall - in Corpus Christi. Hidden in the local YWCA. Nice, clean, family run joint - lot of vegetarian option but their Butter Chicken is outstanding. Loved it.
