I wouldn't call this BBQ.With all the 5 star reviews, I was expecting much better. Brisket looked and tasted oven broiled, not smoked. Same for the ribs and sausage. They seemed oven baked. Beans were not to my liking either. The potato salad was the best thing on the menu.I'll stick with Rudy's, more money, but well worth it.

Texas twinkie search and this came up. Very satisfied with the food here. Jalapeño bombers, Texas twinkies, torpedoes, whatever you want to call them were to my liking. Brisket was very soft, had their own unique flavor of seasoning. Overall great experience.

The chopped brisket sandwich was delicious. The only complaints I have is the sandwich is so darn small and they were out of chips and soda and no sausage.

Corpus Christi obviously has lower standards based on their previous reviews. Very mediocre. Brisket was bland. Chicken was meh. The to-go bbq sauces they gave me were about 1/4 full with barely any sauce in them. Much like other restaurants in this city: Overrated.

Definitely a must try....I did not care for the sides...the meat was great
I found this place on Google when searching for a "Texas Twinkie". (They call it a tornado or something like that). I was visiting from out-of-town and wanted some authentic BBQ food. This place was amazing. I would have liked to try more items but they were sold out.
Everything was delicious, the beans and potato salad were perfect, Brisket, pulled pork, fajitas, sausage and ribs were amazingly tender and juicy. Just close your eyes and pick anything you can't go wrong.

Brisket and ribs are top notch, the el chopp oh nachos were a strange combination but were very good. Didn't get to try the pulled pork because it was sold out. Probably means that it is just as good as the rest. Definitely will be back.

Good spread for the price. Brisket was excellent. Ribs were fall off the bone tender, to those who will say that's overdone I beg to differ. The sausage was just ok. The beans were flavorful with lots of coarse black pepper. The potato salad is like mashed potato salad like grandma used to make. The best item we had were the texas torpedoes, the best part is I didn't have to do them myself. Finding the place is a little difficult due to it being in the middle of a small shopping center. Keep up the great work, definitely will be back.
