From a young age I remember going to Town and Country and eating breakfast/lunch. This restaurant never disappoints. It has that old timey diner feel and the service is always top notch. The food is comfort food for sure with a large selection for everyone.

There was a lot of hype about breakfast at this place. Now there was a nice crowd, a bit of a wait for a table but it didn't take long to get seated. The breakfast menu was limited, I was actually more interested in the lunch menu. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. The pancakes were thin, not fluffy. The county gravy for the biscuits and gravy was so watery and had no flavor. My eggs were cooked perfectly and I could tell the cook keeps his grill nice and clean as there were no extra bits in the hash browns. All in all it was a good meal but not with the hype it was given

I think overall, the food is alright, it's edible, you can go here and expect a basic, simple breakfast. My only complaint is that everything is cooked with cheap hydrogenated soybean oil. The butter is fake hydrogenated soybean oil, the syrup & honey is fake & processed. They capitalize on the low expectations that everyone has for food. I think they take advantage of the whole "Diner 1950s" experience by having the cheapest meals available and hand it to you on a greasy platter. My rueben had like 2 slices of corned beef, but had like an inch of cheese on each side of bread. It was ridiculous. Most of the food isn't even really good. Nothing will make you say "Wow". It's just a basic breakfast place but for the average southern old folk, that is somehow sublime. In reality, real southern country places use real butter. Not fake butter.
