The aircraft carrier is truly immense and imposing!There are so many things to see in the various compartments: garage, take-off/landing deck, kitchens, engine room, mess hall, medical rooms, emergency rooms, pilot briefing rooms... etc.It's a real floating city!Not to be missed!
We visited the USS Lexington on our trip to Corpus. This is a fantastic piece of American history. The huge ship is a head to toe museum.There is a LOT of walking and stairs. you will need to be able to climb steep stairs/ladders if you want to go down into the ship.To see the flight deck and airplanes there is an elevator or stairs.Down below deck are four floors of displays and a first hand look at life on deck.There is a small restaurant and a shop; as well as an extra feature...read full review

Must stop for all history buffs! This isn’t just a ship, it’s an extensive museum and bigger than life historical experience. We only had an 1.5 hours but you could spend all day if you were to go through everything. We also stood on the flight deck and watched dolphins in the bay, that was nice. Bring a swim suit too, they’re a small beach right there. Great stop!
