I could go on and on about how bad this place is the food is terrible it’s only ppl that do t know good bbq saying it’s the best they’ve ever had don’t take my word for it tho go try his nasty Mac and cheese or his burnt ( what seems like soot rubbed chicken , brisket is horrible, the only thing good he has is sausage that’s store bought and he only gives like a half a link dude is real an embarrassment to the bbq community , and he has crazy man syndrome for some reason his little shack is supper political feeling…. Hand down Best BBQ in cypress is Brown Bag BBQ, in closing Brooks place is TRASH

Ate here a few times bbq sauce taste like Arby’s sauce not in a bad way. Brisket is good but be specific on how you want it otherwise it’ll be a lot of fat. All the sides are good tried them all by default everything sales out quickly.

We use to patronize this business when he first opened but stopped due to the lack of customer service. From the unnecessary and overtly political signage, to the owners "take it or leave it" demeanor - yeah, no I'm good & prefer spending my dollars where appreciated. Giving 2 stars because his sausage is good. Otherwise, lots of great BBQ options off 290 or in Acres Home that are delicious and offer great service.

I don't have to ask anymore "Where's a good BBQ spot in Cypress?" Brookes Place is the spot. I arrived shortly after 11:00 ordered the 3 meat plate and smoked wings (greedy huh?). Everything was fantastic my eyes were bigger than my stomach so I have more goodness waiting on me for later today?. Be careful when you mix your Mac n cheese and your baked beans because it turns into crack and you'll need a 12 step program to get unhooked!10 ⭐'s for Brooks Place!!!

3 meat plate. Brisket, reg sausage and ribs. With mac n chz and beans. The meat was amazing! Sides were fine., nothing extraordinary.....but decent. The moist brisket was AMAZING. The sausage was very nice. Ribs, great. Portions were plentiful. The only issue i had....it was almost $30...omg But..i know it was great food. I supported a small business. And at least it was great food. I know you can spend $30 and get crap food.....not here. It was great!

For all of you haters leaving poor reviews for Mr. Brooks poor service, there is something you should know. He lost his wife to cancer a few years ago. He is still struggling with that fact. Cut the man some slack. He is in fact a wonderful, caring human being whom I consider it a privilege to know. His bbq is also top notch without question.

I decided to stop by because it smelled very good. However, the customer service was not good at all. When we arrived he the owner I think was smoking a cigar he did not greet us. I had to tell him that we were ready. If you have your LTC and firearm in a holster you will receive 10percent off. His signs are very clear and concise about sagging pants and revealing clothes you can't order their food. The mac and cheese was runny but it was okay. The ribs were beef ribs and were flavorful. With that being said I will not be returning. For the cost I don't feel like it was worth it plus the customer service.

Finally got a chance to eat here and it did not disappoint! Perfect stop for a lunch break if you need food fast! Will definitely be back! The owner is heavily involved in the local community by hosting a free dinner for a family of 6 every month and lifesaving blood drives in memory of his wife!

The owner wants everyone to know his political beliefs for some reason. Nutty guy. Brisket had a thick layer of fat on the point. If he trimmed it he didn't trim it enough.

This place has one of the best bbq and sides I've ever had. Highly recommend trying it out. Especially the sauce he gives you on the side for the meat .
