Got champagne and juice, ordered, and voila: 50 minutes later we got tepid food with missing items. They said it was their “busiest day of the year!” Like it caught them by surprise?? They comp’d our food (that we didn’t eat) and made us pay for the booze. When you go from 9/10 to 1.5/10 you don’t get any more chances.

We went to Union kitchen for lunch. We didn’t have reservation but were seated quickly. I would recommend reservation though if you want to sit in the patio seating.The ambience is great- both inside and outside.The menu is decent with a good selection of pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, soups and salads.The service was a bit slow but they were pretty full so I guess that’s why!We had the TUK dip which was one of the best spinach artichoke dips I’ve ever had. Our little one also loved the dip!The portobello sandwich was a great option for us as vegetarians and we loved it too. The mushroom was grilled well and was really tasty.They were pretty flexible with any substitution that we wanted.Definitely recommend to friends and family looking for a nice sit down restaurant in the cypress area.Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: A decent kids menu

Server was fantastic, however, the kitchen took almost 2 hours to get us food. It was a holiday, but they could have been better prepared. They took care of smaller tables much faster which is probably why our order took so long! That war we several smalls before focusing on the table of 8 there's a balance needed. Food was good.

Even though we had a reservation for inside they initially refused to seat us there. It was raining and they insisted inside there was no room even although several tables appropriate for our party size were available. We had to insist before they honored our reservation. Even when we left several of those tables were still not occupied. Not sure whether it was because we were under dressed (I was wearing a T-shirt), or because we had a small child with us (my 4 year old grandchild) but I felt it was not about the reservations and more about that they didn't want us in the main dining area. The food was worse than last time we were there. The recipe for the gluten free pizza was changed and now includes a very acidic red sauce. The deviled eggs also were too acidic. The french toast (Easter edition) was way too sweet. Also I don't recommend the egg rolls. They were too large for an appetizer. We could eat only two (party of six). The waffles were way too much for one person. They don't size portions properly. The only redeeming quality was that their service was very good.

There always seems to be an issue when I go to this Union Kitchen. We went for brunch, but we didn't get the brunch menu. When we asked if it was over- he said no, we had 10 minutes to put our order in & said he would get us brunch menus.Welp, I think he forgot about us & I had to go to the hostess table & and ask for the brunch menus myself only to be told there were 2 minutes left for brunch. I told her the situation & just sttid there looking at her. She said she would ask if we could put an order in & gave us menus. The manager came to our table & took our brunch order. I ordered the crab & spinach omelet & a coffee my friend ordered something different.We finally got our order. There was no crab in the omelet. And I am still waiting for my coffee. ?

This is a great place to lunch with clients, or to take that special someone out. The meals are consistently good and whether you eat inside or outside on the patio by the "lake", the experience is enjoyable. Note: It is usually chilly inside so wear layers.Parking: Tge parking lot behind the building usually has spaces.

The service was pretty slow, and there were gnats everywhere around our table, my son had mac & cheese which was beyond bland, and the noodles were overcooked. His burger was good though, the fish and chips were good portion, my veggie sandwich was definitely lagging in veggies. Wasn't really impressed with the visit.
I had the Doris Spring salad and it was the best salad I've had in a very long time!

My party of 4 waited 30 minutes to receive our first drink. We left at that point. It's too bad because their food is great and we sat outside by the lake on a BEAUTIFUL evening. This is a reoccurring problem at Union Kitchen. Their bar situation is a huge problem. I might add it wasn't particularly busy that night. Not even packed. Do better Union Kitchen.

Visited on Friday lunch time to enjoy happy hour. Ordered 3 starters. Chicken satay delicious, bang bang shrimp delicious and calamari a bit too crispy and overcooked. Our waitress was lovely and very attentive. The big problem was the flies flying around our food, having to constantly trying to prevent them landing on our food. Our waitress told the manager who came over and apologised, she explained all the cleaning procedures they had done to try and stop the problem. Apparently it only happens at the booth tables. We had intended to have a main course but were put off having anything else.

Valentines lunch was absolutely delicious & flavorful! The customer service for our table is A+ and the view is gorgeous with the sun beaming into the lake! They could use a little more help in the front since we had to wait awhile as the hostess had to help some other customers outside but a greet & I’ll be with you guys soon would’ve been nice since she saw us waiting so a young waiter eventually saw us standing for more than 5 minutes & tended to us but didn’t know how to work the reservations until the hostess came back in. Overall, we had a wonderful time & our waitress is so sweet.
