I stumbled upon this place this week for the first time, not sure what to expect. The food was very good. The atmosphere was interesting. The clientele seemed to be regulars and were very “familiar” with each others’ spouses. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, it was great people watching. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had Pineapple Upside-down Cake on the menu next time I go back…and I certainly will come again.

Visiting from Michigan, staying downtown Dallas . A employee of our hotel suggested touring Highland Park. We easily ride-shared from our hotel and landed in front of Bistro 31. Upon being seated promptly on the outdoor patio , my wife and I enjoyed one of our best meals (and overall experience while in Dallas) . Food was fresh, served quickly and surprisingly affordable. Great people watching to go with superb meal. Thank you for the excellent service.

We were seated right away, the dining room is beautiful and our waiter was attentive, fun and knowledgeable. We had a fabulous birthday celebration and are so happy we chose Bistro 31 as our venue, top-notch all around.

The ambience and drinks were nice but the head chef killed any ounce of good vibes in Bistro 31 during a busy Friday night service. Three times he was heard screaming at the wait staff such that the entire dining room could hear. What was first embarrassing on his part led to inappropriate lecturing as he could be heard asking grown men and women if they were all adults here and could behave themselves. Strange coming from a grown man throwing a full on tantrum. We felt terrible for our waiter who was genuinely kind, welcoming and attentive. These 2 stars are for the waitstaff who were lovely and didn’t deserve the treatment heard round the dining room.

Chef Henry is awesome and so is Alex C. Chef prepared some finest risotto with artichoke, customized with spicy sauce. They made sure what I wanted to eat, paired in some bread. Came here first time alone as my daughter was celebrating birthday dinner with her friends. Loved the atmosphere and customer service! Will return with family.

Great experience! Took my mom for lunch. The only hiccup was the server was too quick to clear the table and left my mom holding her bread and nothing to put it on. Other than that, everything really was great.

Nothing to complain about except that the (one) giant pepper grinder is long past its amusement life. Everything else superb. Like a well oiled Swiss watch, no fuss, no drama just good old fashioned dining. Always a pleasure to visit.

We had attentive service, delicious food, and the best part was we didn't feel rushed out of there. The drinks were delicious as well. We checked out their new bar upstairs - beautiful space with a festive private room as well.

This place like all of the Lombardi restaurants have achieved something that is so rare post COVID. Great food, great service and fantastic value. You feel like family here. Highly recommend for dinner or brunch/lunch.
