“Quick and efficient service. It's a great place for a business lunch. I just wished the windows were tainted as the outside light was intense. It was also relatively noisy there - people talking out loud. It's definitely more like a cafe and not a sit-down restaurant.“
“Coffee is pricey but very good. It's a very chill environment inside and everyone is really nice. I'd recommend this as a once in a while spot to hit up for hangouts or datesDietary restrictions: They offer different milks for coffees“
“Stopped here for some coffee. Tried a specialty coffee, it was too sweet for me. They offered to get us latte instead and it was perfect. The kitchen was closed but would love to return and try the food. Service ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“What an awesome find! Food was so good! Meatball sandwich and meatballs made in house. Fresh and hot. Place has such a great atmosphere. Seating in and out. Great bar seating at the window to watch what's going on outside. Picked up a brownie too which tastes wonderful. As I was enjoying my sandwich one of the owners brought me one of their cinnamon rolls. Lemmon-blueberry cinnamon roll. I brought it home with me. I had admired it while ordering my food. Greatly appreciated the gesture. Check it out. Order at the counter and they bring you your grub. Saves a bit on tipping full amount. Place is spotless and done with a black and white decor. I loved the place and will be going there regularly and sharing it with friends. Check out the menu online. Adding this next day: cinnamon rolls like homemade grandmas!Parking: No trouble with parking. Parking lot.“
“Food was delicious, owner gave us menu recommendations and a lot of the salsas and sauces are from scratch, service was sweet and quick, prices were reasonable. Very "mom and pop" in the best way! Country diner feel in the middle of the city. I'll definitely be back!“
“Just visited this cafe today and everything was amazing. Food was great, service was good, and clean environment.Even though there are multiple restaurants to choose from in Dallas area and this location, this cafe offers great services and food.I would definitely recommend this restaurant whether you trying out some Ethiopian/Eritrean food, or just going out dinner, give this place a try and you’ll get good results.Vegetarian options: They have some vegetarian options.“
“Quality local-ish roast coffee shop in downtown Dallas. The beans are roasted in Fort Worth so that's pretty close, comparatively. That's what they say. Anyway. It's popular. There may be a line. That's OK. The coffee is worth the short wait. Also, doggo friendly.Despite being located in the Magnolia Petroleum Company's former headquarters, the coffee does not taste like motor oil. Don't you worry about that.“
“I picked up some treats for my kids. One chocolate chip cookie, one snickerdoodle, and some chocolate chip muffins. They tasted delicious, fresh and homemade. The kids were beyond thrilled. It was pouring rain outside and the energy in the place was like a ray of sunshine. The guy at the counter was very friendly. Highly recommend! We will return!“
“Came to Lucky’s on our way out of Dallas. I’ve loved going to Lucky’s throughout my time in Dallas. It’s a wonderful place full of wonderful people and wonderful food. The staff is always overly nice and the food is very comforting. If you have people visiting and want a good meal with good people, this is the place. If you’re hungover from a night out on the town and need a comforting meal, this is the place! I love Lucky’s!“
“I’ve been coming to this place for 20 years. The John Wayne plate has cured hangovers that would kill a mule and the coffee is dark as midnight plus it keeps coming until you’re jittering so hard you can’t hold the mug!Seriously though, the nicest folks serving fresh made food in a laid back atmosphere. If you want to eat like an East Dallas local, this is the spot!“
“My first time here. Music was wonderful. Carpenters and Burt Baccarat covers. Musicians were great.Loved the atmosphere.I was disappointed in service. I sat at one of the only two barstools. They forgot about me. And didn’t know how to make a basic cocktail. For dessert they only had white cake and ice cream. This place screams for Tiramusu or a rich chocolate dessert. They had chocolate syrup. Seriously?Waiters wore worn out t-shirts. Need nicer shirts please. This could be a nice, classy jazz supper club. But they’ve forgotten to take care of first impressions. And basic classiness.Clean it up and it’s a gem. .“
“Had the pleasure of visiting this place in Bishop Arts late night scene. We had a few things off the menu which was chicken pizza, cheese pizza and two different types of wings. All in all the food was good I would suggest they cook the wings a little more cause they was just too soft but not undercooked. Drinks were good it was cold so we started with an Irish coffee. I wouldn't definitely recommend and be back. The place is just the right size and they have outside tables. Service was decent it was super busy but they managed to get to us in a fashionable time.“
“Literally had the best experience today at tribal cafe 10/10 . My latte was very tasty . Everyone treated me and my baby with so much kindness & love , Rosemarie was so nice & so was my barista & evn walked into the owner of the cafe and his doggy & they were also very polite and nice . The cafe literally made my day today and I’m glad that I stopped in , I love a coffee shop with amazing employees and amazing energy ! I will be a new everyday regular ! Thanks again“
“Amazing Place for Food and Coffee!I drove past it for a while thinking it was just Coffee shop but actually it's a fantastic restaurant that serves coffee shop level coffee!Patio, bar, or dining room it's been a great experience each way.“
“We celebrated a friend's birthday and turns out this is the place for birthday celebrations as there was another party going on across from us. Zest Cafe is a super cute corner cafe, that is open, bright and lively. The staff was very nice and were well equipped to manage a full restaurant. They were very accommodating as our large party consisted of gifts, a cake and booster seats. We snacked on a sampler platter of almond croissants, kouign-amann, and apple cinnamon muffins. The croissant was a little dry, but the muffin and the kouign-amann were moist and delicious. We also shared plates of the edamame hummus and deviled eggs that were both really good.I thoroughly enjoyed the lavender st. Germain spritz and the togarashi tuna and ancient grain salad.“
“Great location, right near the Katy trail, so you can take your coffee and walk or sit at one of their many indoor or outdoor tables. I tried a vanilla matcha latte and a latte on tap. The latte being on tap was cool, and it could be served instantly. It wasn't too sweet, so if you're a sweet coffee lover I would add some flavor. The matcha was fantastic, it wasn't overly earthy like some can be. Of all the coffee shops I've been to in the area, this is definitely my favorite!“
“It doesn't get any more farm-to-table than this! Indoor cafe with floor-to-ceiling glass retractable garage doors viewing outdoor patio tables provide fresh flavors and views of neighbors growing their delicious local menu and employable workforce skills. The daily special Zuppa Bontona puts garden twist on zuppa toscana. “Swamp Tea” combines mango iced tea with a Tang-y spiced citrus blend. The creole crawfish salad had fresh citrus and a hearty portion of seafood in the mix. The cornbread crusted catfish and cheeseburger never disappoint. Cornmeal poundcake makes for a sweet ending. Off the beaten path and always worth the trip!“
“My husband and I fell in love with this place when we first found it a couple months back. So for our wedding anniversary we decided to come back! The food is spectacular and the service is always fantastic. Today Daniel was our server and he made us feel so welcome, made sure we were well taken care of and all in all made our wedding anniversary breakfast a wonderful experience. If you come to this location, ask to see if Daniel can be your server! He is amazing! (Also I couldn’t even get halfway through my delicious food before I became STUFFED) ? Love this gem of a restaurant.“
“If I could give this place 10 stars I would! The food and service was great! I can only assume that Gregory is the owner or manager- Gregory is so authentic and fun- walking around and talking to guests the whole time. Will definitely be back!“
“Everything was great and ready !! I got the daily special and I can’t complain about anything, because everything was great and I left full !! I had to go back and grad one of those temping strawberry cupcakes . Awesome dessert. I left a happy person. I’ll have to sneak back over and get another midnight snack, lolKid-friendliness: Plenty of room for children“
“Great little local spot! Wonderful Food! Wonderful Staff. Great Happy Hour prices. I would avoid the Lobster Mac And Cheese there was not lobster in my bowl and it was way to cheesy, if that's possible. Great flat bread pizzas Also be careful of live music nights if they are playing inside you can't hear the people ate your table. Wonderful Patio I would say go check it out you won't be sorry. Enjoy“
“We arrived in Dallas from central NY and were very hungry so we decided to swing into the commissary. What a wonderful hot breakfast and great coffee. Facility was clean and very well thought-out. Service was fast and friendly. Staff were very helpful too!“
“When you walk into this restaurant it feels warm and inviting. The service was fair but not outstanding. We started with the escargot (not my favorite, was way too buttered and just left a film in my mouth, the steak tartare was excellent as was the oysters. We ordered the roasted chicken which was flavorful and moist. Didn't even use the gravy for it. We also had the striped bass which was done very well. I like their patio which was easy and relaxed.“
“5/5. I tried the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs and it was solid. I liked the Shrimp and Grits better though. But the Parmesan Breakfast Potatoes and the French toast….will have me coming back EVERY SINGLE TIME. It is so good and The patio is amazing. I would say it’s only worth to come here for the patio. They have a beautiful garden outside that supplies their herbs and vegetables. And I believe our servers name was Holden and he was great! We added on French toast late and he made it happen to where we only waited a few minutes. For peace of mind, I would make a reservation if coming on the weekend.“
“This place is a standout independent cafe, it really reminded me of the best independent coffee shops back in London. The coffee and tacos hit the mark, and the laid-back atmosphere combined with great service makes it a must-visit. Come here over the big chains – you won't be “
“This place is good and the service is fantastic.I got a skillet fish and a juiced drink. What I like about the food is it’s not overly greasy and gross. My best friend suggest this place and I will be returning. Also their menu is HUGE! So plenty of options.“
“I love Merit for my post-church coffee run! the staff are always kind and will start up conversation easily. they seem super caring, regardless of their tough workload. As for their coffee, there's a whole lot of options. Their unwashed cold brew is so good, you don't need any sugar or milk!!! Their espresso is great, and they have their own specialty beans which is pretty cool. The London Fog is my fave tea- they do it a LOT better than starbucks. my only complaint is that it is sometimes dirty and understaffed. This can def stress out the poor amazing employees. regardless, Merit is 5 stars in my book!“
“This is such a cool place! The decor is awesome and the matcha is DELICIOUS. Their slogan is "The kind cafe" and they really live up to the name! Everyone I've talked to is all smiles and warmth, it just feels good being here. Just found this place today but I'm going to be visiting often when I get time between appointments!“
“Came in for some coffee and Stephanie on the farm gave us the most heart warming/educational tour. Our barista was a gem of her own, very fast and welcoming my daughters and I enjoyed every minute of Bonton Farms. Definitely go check them out! You will not be disappointed.“
“Love love love the waffles and prices are decent. The omelette was a little scant in ingredients. The food didn’t come out together (my son was finished before my food arrived) but the hostess was attentive, friendly and apologetic for the delay.“
“friendly, lively atmosphere with clean seating and fast service!I do want to note that, if you sort the reviews by date, there is a row of 7 one-star reviews about 2 years ago that I believe are really bringing down the average of the shop. I think they were a group of people that didn't have anything better to do, because all of their accounts have almost no other reviews on them.My point is: this shop deserves a 4.7 star average or better. Please consider visiting!“
“What a great place! I met a client here to close a loan, and I was quite impressed. It pops with clean & bright colors, and the staff is very friendly & welcoming. I ordered the La La Latte (cold) and it was really freakin' good! Whenever I'm in the area you can promise I won't miss stopping by!“
“Went here for brunch with some friends, service was great our waitress was very attentive. Ordered the biscuits n gravy with turkey sausage and it tasted really good, the seasoned potatoes could use less seasoning salt. Good food, Good Service and Good atmosphere!!!“
“They were not professional enough to be callas as a coffee shop ? they didn’t know what is pour over even it’s on their menu! (They were nice, just not professional)They didn’t have a set for pouring. But the bean itself is okay so I will give 4 stars“
“Visited this plaza a number of months ago, and didn't leave my review. It's a great plaza with a new wing spot on the corner, an ice cream shop (that Only) serves alcoholic ice cream etc. There's a nice sit down area/little park as well. I will have to check out some of the other places one day.“
“Went during the weekend. Got a chai latte with oat milk (more on the spicier side but still really good). There was only one person working which I found unfair for him since there was a really long line (seemed stressful). He did a great job getting everyone their orders as fast as he could.“
“I love this place. They have the BEST potatoes. And their beans are so yummy. Everyone who works here is attentive and kind. The prices always shock me. The amount and quality of food is just so good for what they change. I usually come in for breakfast. They open earlier than most of the other spots so I can find parking, eat a great meal, then walk it off.“
“I was staying at the Fairmont, directions make right at Starbucks, cross the Freeman street, pass the water fountains, go down the stairs & cafe on right. Hours are 7:30am-4pm. They only serve breakfast in opening hours. Salads, soups, hot sandwiches won't be available until 11:30am made fresh. Bottle waters $1 (Pure), Fuji ($1.50). I bought chicken salad sandwich combo with grapes & chips, bowl of corn shrimp Cajun chowder, and bottle of water for $21. Prices are reasonable compared to other places and customer service was friendly, I went during times after lunch hour rush around 1:45pm so place empty.“
“I have been coming here for a long time, and this place never disappoints me. Me and my mom come here for brunch a lot, and the foods always come fresh!! I usually eat fritata, buna (coffee) and tiramisu, and we always buy cake for occasions at this place!“
“Wow! Love this place! Was craving breakfast for dinner so gave this place a shot and it didn't disappoint.Ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and omelette and both were delicious. Service was also great and everyone was very welcoming and friendly.Would highly recommend checking this place out!“
“Looking for good brunch by the lake, park, and you need food? I suggest ordering that this cafe. If you're looking for a high quality Uber breakfast, you have it here. Located not too far from Kiest Park, I have ordered the traditional breakfast--bacon, toast, and eggs , strawberries with orange and cranberry juices. I have ordered three times and not once disappointed. The service was timely presented and freshly made. It gave you a feel that it was home cooked. It has a community and family ambiance; I also would recommend at-home Sunday brunch with foods from this restaurant. The traditional breakfast items did pair well with my dry white blend of Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc, "Farms Remembered". You may also want to consider creating a Mimosa from the fresh orange juice at this cafe. For wine drinkers, a Prosecco is also a good pairing wine with most of the breakfast items they offer. I do recommend that you try this cafe. Donald S. Chandler, Jr. Ph.D. Chandler Plaza, LLC Certified Texas Wine Specialist“
“They are located in the Tollway Center on the main floor. First off, I absolutely love the customer service! They remember your name and your go to orders. Also, the food is always fresh and delicious. They have daily lunch specials, wonderful breakfast tacos if you're in a hurry, delicious salads and so much more to choose from. They even have a huge selection of coffee choices. Skip Starbucks and come here, they can basically make all the same drinks!Vegetarian options: Avocado toast and potato tacos.Oat and almond milk for coffees.“
“I love this place. Always great to stop by when craving a snack/treat. They have Aguas frescas, and when I say frescas I really mean fresh!! They literally make the drink right in front of you! I've only ever tried their nachos and hot cheetos with cheese, and they are not greedy with their servings. I will definitely be coming back to try everything on the menu as they have so many options!!“
“i visited le bon temps twice. the first time the coffee was so good, i wanted to visit again. second time, the coffee is kinda missing something the service is as to be expected in a cafe; nice but calm. ambiance is chill. there are tables & chairs on the sidewalk. now onto the drinks & bites : i got a pistachio milk latte with caramel and the mini beignets. last time i got the churro beignets and they were stellar!“
“This place is a true gem for sure, can’t believe I’ve been in Texas for 7 years and I’m only finding out about this place just now.Great customer service and great music when ever I go inThey’ve got a lot of great products and their kitchen is off the hook, their food is so very delicious, and especially in the morning the place is usually so very busy because of there breakfast tacos and there coffee.Their potato tacos, grass fed burgers and chicken quesadillas are what I usually buy since I can’t have pork, and they are so very delicious. The kitchen’s employees are so very nice and friendly and I enjoy talking to them whenever I’m there.“
“Great breakfast, coffee drinks, and lunch!! I can’t say enough good things about this place! They are quick, convenient, affordable, and have great service! Their breakfast tacos are only $3.25 a piece and very filling. Whenever I order 2, I can never finish both! Their salsa is amazing too! They also have healthy breakfast options like an egg white burrito and an Açaí bowl. They also have a great breakfast croissant sandwich. For lunch, I always get their Cuban. It’s amazing!! I look forward to trying other lunch items, but generally go for an iced oat milk lavender latte and a quick breakfast in the morning. There’s never too much of a wait. You definitely get a way better deal here than anywhere else in the Plaza for breakfast! To top things off, everyone who works there is very sweet and it’s always a great interaction. If you want to eat there, there’s plenty of seating, but it’s a great place to pickup and go. It’s located in a Kiosk on the lower level of the Plaza of the Americas Tower where all of the other restaurants are. Regarless of what your diet is (vegetarian, vegan, etc.), they have something for everyone!Vegetarian options: They have egg whites burritos, açaí bowls, burrito bowls, and plenty of non meat options. They also have milk substitutes for those who can’t have dairy!Dietary restrictions: They have egg whites burritos, açaí bowls, burrito bowls, and plenty of non meat options. They also have milk substitutes for those who can’t have dairy!“
“Can't beat the migas with chorizo and the hash browns. Wife loves the chicken fried chicken and the veggies. Yes, getting seated is confusing and they always seem to be a little disorganized. If that bothers you, then try to go at off times.“
“Just WOW! Pedro the owner has to be the nicest person EVER! We went down to bishop arts to “restaurant hop”, which means pick 3 or 4 restaurants, ask what their signature dish is, share one of those dishes and move on to the next place. Veracruz wasn’t on our list but we decided to try it. The owner, Pedro, came out and spoke to us telling us about his best dishes. The mole is what he recommended because it’s made fresh everyday. After ordering, some of us said “we don’t like mole”. Haha. Joke was on us. This was absolutely delicious. Mild but so flavorful. We had it served over chicken with rice, black beans and veggies! Don’t overlook their black beans. So good we were using it as a dip for our chips. They also have a fantastic lime flavored lemonade that probably makes some killer margaritas. Also homemade daily. They also have a spicy chipotle cheese dip with pepper oil. I could have drank the whole bowl. It is pretty spicy!“
“This is truly one of the best hidden gems in Dallas! I find the perfect gifts for every occasion and all my decorating items. Christoher White has created a shop brimming with art, beauty, kindness, and friendship - you must see for yourself and visit this exquisite place!“
“My wife and I came here for an evening date and the service, food and drinks were AMAZING! Esme took care of us she was very kind and endearing. We’d never been in before but Esme made us feel very warm and welcomed. We will be back! Thanks Esme!“
