Their cakes, available by the slice, 5" or 10", never disappoint. They have impressed at birthdays and other parties BUT the most magical thing is to sneak away at lunch and get a slice of strawberry. It's the best ever and like a mini-vacation.

I had very high hopes for this cake shop considering that this place came highly recommended but unfortunately the cakes at Cake Bar didn't taste homemade nor from scratch. They tasted very processed and industrialized. I was in town visiting so I purchased multiple different slices to try the different flavors. After trying a piece of all of them, I had to throw the slices away in the trash because they not only didn't taste good but they also had a weird consistency. The slices looked pretty from a presentation perspective but the flavor did not match. I cannot recommend this cake place to anyone and I don't plan on returning.

Cake Bar is such a cute place to enjoy a slice of cake, or to take it to go. It is a no cash location, so make sure you have your card on you. I love the concept of this place, it is very convenient for a cake fix. I had come in especially to try their Hummingbird Cake, and it was a great slice of cake. It was moist, had a great fluffy texture, and the cream cheese frosting was on point. The service was friendly and quick, and the slices were already individually packaged. I know for sure when I travel back to Dallas that I will be coming back to Cake Bar to try more cake!

I feel like my expectations were too high for this place due to the social media hype. The staff said hello and took my order, nothing good or bad to say on that. It's a cute little cake spot with some nice decor to snap pictures but the cake was just subpar. I got a slice of the old fashioned and the piña colada. I was not a fan of either and I am a really big sweets person so that's saying a lot. The pineapple filling in the piña colada had an odd texture and the frosting on the old fashioned was very bitter. It's not somewhere I would go back to.

A Cake here is always a good idea! We got the Italian cream and I added my own decorations to it. Everyone loved it!

So, I didn't know that they had changed locations 2 days ago. So that kinda threw me off. It's a cute little shop with a grass wall to take pictures under a neon sign that says "cake bar Dallas." I love to support black owned, but I think I was overhyped about it from social media because it wasn't as spectacular as I imagined it would be. I got the old fashion.... I liked the cake! The cake was moist with good flavor, but I wasn't really feeling the dark chocolate icing. I felt the icing took away from the cakes flavor. The service was regular... I have no complaints about it. You just walk up to the counter, give your order, pay, then go about your way. Do I suggest others try it.. yeah, why not. Will I be back... probably not.

My mom saw this place on the news and wanted to try it. I purchase a number of different flavors and the flavor was good, but the cake was really dry. I was disappointed because I was expecting an all around great cake.

I'm giving Cake Bar a 1 Star just for this cake alone. I love Red Velvet cake and this was definitely a disappointment. I have never ever eaten a Red velvet cake with NUTS in it. I wish it was noted in the dessert bar that there were NUTS and I wouldn't have bought this one. Sorry for the 1 star but this was an epic fail. I also bought the Wedding and Neapolitan slices and they were to die for. I couldn't believe how moist and delicious each slices were. I also bought the Key Lime, Strawberry and the Lemon slices. I don't know what happened with these slices above but they were so way off. They tasted like vinegar and a very strong chemical taste. I had to throw the slices away because they weren't tasting fresh like the others. The Strawberry one was very dry and had a bitter taste. I was so excited to eat these slices but instead it ended up in more disappointment.

Made a trip this past weekend to the CakeBar and was sooooo disappointed. I purchased 4 slices of cake as I remember it being so great in 2020, but something has truly changed. Ordered 2 slices of Carrot Cake, 1 German Chocolate and 1 Italian Cream...The Carrot Slices were not the same as they were before not really sure what is going on with that. The Italian Cream was very bland and did not taste like Italian Cream, but the biggest disappointment is the German Chocolate where I am going to apparently say this cake has set out for weeks as the icing was soured tasting and cake was super dry. Please make sure you are getting a fresh cake if purchasing from this establishment.

Absolutely delicious! The cakes are extremely moist and the icing is just right, not too sweet!

The cake was moist and the icing is sweet. The vanilla part of the cake is not as moist as the rest. Overall the cake was good and the experience was great.
