Really disappointed with my recent visit. I used to love the original Campisi’s location, but the quality of food has taken a nosedive. The salad served with entrees had obviously been sitting out for a while before being served so I could only describe the texture as “gloopy”/“slimy”. I then ordered the eggplant parm as it used to be my favorite location for it, and it came out all wrong — I initially thought it must have been a frozen option because of its oddly uniform shape. The eggplant was cut too thick (and for any eggplant lovers, you know that the cut is so important) and cooked improperly (still had its bitter taste). The eggplant was also served with fettuccine Alfredo, which I thought was an odd choice but, “what the heck, let’s go for it”… Unfortunately the Alfredo sauce also had a bitter taste to it which could have happened from accidentally burning the cream. Lastly, I suggested the lasagna to my husband because it used to be my dad’s favorite. The pasta was too al dente and gave the lasagna a chewy texture. Overall a poor experience, I probably will not be back.

Awful experience: We went there today Saturday April 27th. We got our food 35 minutes after being ordered. The Italian Chicken was flavorless and we want it to change but we think if we substitute it it will be last 30-35 more minutes. I had to give my shrimp scampi to my wife and I had to take her chicken Italian and be obliged to switch. Shrimp Scampi was good. Also, the bread that waitress gave us was hard and cold ??‍♂️.Bad experience, actually. I don’t think we’ll go back. Long wait and flavorless Italian chicken.Time around we went there: 4:00 pm, Saturday April 27th.

Campisi’s is one of our favorite restaurants and we usually go here 4-5 times a year. Tonight our visit was very disappointing. Th crab claws were disgusting and really should not be served. They were gritty and tiny. The Sauvignon Blanc tasted bitter and either old or temperature problem. Our waitress was very nice but obviously spread way too thin. I’m saddened.

This is my favorite go to Italian in the metroplex. I've been to several locations, but this is my favorite. I love their chicken, marsala, and the ambience is perfect.

Old school, like stepping into a 50s lounge, waiting for Dean Martin or Sinatra to take the mic.

My first time being here with my wife who’s from NY. We both love the atmosphere, my wife says it kind of reminds her of some New York restaurants. I haven’t been to New York but it did have that New York ambiance when you are seated in the front (main/club) dining room. It’s a great place for a dinner date because of the low lighting making it feel more romantic and inviting. Be sure to bring your reading glasses if you have poor vision to read the menu or you can do what I did and use the camera light on your phone. Our server Elizabeth was outstanding, friendly, helpful and completely courteous. She made several trips to our table to make sure we had everything we needed and kept us informed about our order.I took a big chance in ordering the pasta combo with meat sauce topped with baked cheese. (I was fasting all day) It was totally amazing and delicious. It is a perfect combination of flavors in one plate. It had spaghetti with one big meatball, a meat lasagna, and ravioli. My wife ordered the Sirloin strip topped with Italian butter and mushrooms and side dish was cottage fries. She absolutely loved it. She mentioned that she hasn’t had a steak that tasted so good since leaving New York.We both were fasting for the day (Saturday) because we were busy and we knew that we would definitely be full but we were wanting to try the pizza so we ordered a medium pizza half mushroom half cheese to taste later in the day. We didn’t eat it until the next day ( today) and we were not disappointed. Even though it was the next day, it tasted like it was just made fresh out of the oven.I am from the DFW area, born and raised. This is my first time to dine here and I regret not stopping here until now. I highly recommend it. It’s a great place even though parking is limited when it’s busy from what I could tell, regardless I do recommend going there for a date, taking the wife and kids, or just with friends. With two glasses of wine, a soft drink, the pasta combo, sirloin, and some Joe’s garlic toast, and medium pizza to go, my subtotal was just a little over $100. Well worth it for me.Parking: Plenty of parking just West of building where restaurant is located (20-30 yards) However, parking may be limited due to heavy patron visits.Wheelchair accessibility: ADA parking available directly in front of restaurant. Additional ADA parking is located at front row of parking lot.

Amazing food and amazing history to this place. Don't miss the spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauce. The history is actually astonishing here. The First pizzeria in TX. 1st liquor license after prohibition. 1st Italian restaurant in TX. Who's eaten here? Everybody who was somebody: Frank Sentara and the Rat Pack, mobsters, ALL the Cowboys, and past presidents. Ask to see the former speakeasy next door.
